I came into possession of this car through my grandparents, the first owners, who used it as a second car and later the primary car for getting around town. While I am technically the third owner, as it was briefly titled to my father before he transferred it to me, I'm the only one who has driven it since my grandfather. It was kept in a garage until I took possession of it in 2002, at which point it was parked outdoors on Chicago neighborhood streets. It has been back in a garage now since 2008. I have never needed the car to commute, so I only occasionally used it for errands or weekend excursions, hence the low mileage. The car is in good shape for its age. It starts on the first try and runs fine. The interior has seen very little wear, and still looks very nice. Since I've had the car I've had the brakes and transmission serviced, put on new tires and replaced the starter, all within the last 3200 miles (see the details below). It probably could use a good overall service and lube because I have rarely driven it more than a few miles in the last few years and it has sat for months at a time. It has some minor rust spots from its time outdoors, as well as dings and scratches in the fenders from city parallel parking. The hood, roof and trunk lid all have some scratches in the finish. I suspect it also needs work done on the muffler and/or exhaust line, because the engine is a bit loud and visually the muffler looks worn. The radio will not power on even though the fuses look okay - I think it's an electrical issue not uncommon to this model but it's never been worth it to me to address it. The antenna was broken off at some point. The car was also apparently in an accident in 2000, prior to when I took possession. Any damage was either negligible or it was repaired, as I haven't ever noticed any damage. I do not have any records regarding the accident. Recent service and repairs: Brakes serviced at 56685 miles (records available)New tires at 58660 miles (records available)Transmission serviced at 59027 miles (records available)Starter replaced at 59740 miles (owner replaced) Notes on condition (see pictures for detail):small rust spots at bottom of doors and side panels mild scuffing on hood, roof and rear deckliddings in fenders (spent 6 years parked on street)missing antennafactory radio non-functional (unit has power, won't turn on, electrical issue never addressed)name badge on passenger side partially peeled off cracked grill plate (the Olds badge in front) cracked front passenger side turn signal covermuffler/exhaust line needs repair/replacement Chicago area buyers preferred. The buyer is responsible for any necessary travel or shipment arrangements, though I can store the vehicle indefinitely. Please use PayPal for the deposit, cash or certified check only for final payment.

Non-computer controlled. (as in it likely originally was not sold in CA) Garage Kept. Weekend driver for past 10 years. I have had this car since 1996. It was my first car. I know everything about it, and every part, and every option. I would trust this car to make any distance drive as the engine and drive train are basically new, and the tires are new. The following were done in 2010/2011 more than $5000 invested in engine alone350 ci SBC engine, bought new in 2001 from GM Performance, rebuilt by Windy City Engine in Chicago in 2010, receipts to prove.bearings sealscrank polishednew pistonsnew ringsbored over .030 (if i recall) to 355Painted with Eastwood engine enamel for high quality long lasting color and shineedelbrock performer cam and lifters and rodscompetition cams magnum roller rockers edelbrock vortec intake with Durashine finishpolished valve coversEdlebrock extra heavy duty timing chain, with three piece coverGm Performance Vortex headsflowtech headersnew harmonic balancerMSD distributer (also included in auction is an extra MSD digital model, needs a new part to work)dual exhaust with flow master mufflers3.42 rear gear by Auburn new in 2003GM Performance serpentine belt systemNEW (not rebuilt)JET Stage II Quadrajet 4bl carburetor with spread bore to square more plateNew clutch fannew high performance water pumpGets 12-15 MPG around town, 17+ on freeway at 55PMH. Not original, but I like themNew old stock rear bumper, back coated with POR15 for longevity. LIFETIME brakes from Firestone Masterservice. Basically the only thing I ever need to have done is the rotors and bearings up front and I think the drum in back. The existing shaft is fine. Bought this as a performance upgrade.Including a 1980 Olds Service manualAlso included in sale of car Edelbrock #350-3701 Performer Intake Manifold. Painted SBC blue. Took off when engine was rebuilt. Requires older SBC heads. Will not work with Vortec Heads ($188 value) Currently License and registered in Indiana, clean title, but I am MOVING to Illinois and downsizing. Time to depart with my car. And now the "Bad"1. Needs a new or recored or radiator eventually, pin hole leak cooks off fluid, though not quickly, (easy-peesy to replace) new ones are around $120-$150 at Autozone. 2. Front passenger tie rod is worn and could be replaced, it will then need an alignment. The part is under warranty though, you just gotta pop it off and take it into Autozone. This issue does not affect drivability. 3. Headliner needs replaced ($130 or so online)4. nicks and scratches in the paint. you could take it to Macco...5. some rust in the rear quarter panels, pictured, could use some general body work. The rust is surface rust and the body appears to be solid. I have a video on Youtube you can see where I poke at the spot to show it is still solid. 6. One of the bumper trim cut outs on driver side front is missing. I have TWO new replacements, primered and ready to go. I am including those in the auction. ONLY INCLUDED IN BUY IT NOW PRICE (underlined)I also have the following in Storage in MI, if you give me my asking price you can come and get them in Belleville, MI...1. A Stedfast auto security collar steering column anti-theft colar 4. most the hard to find parts to add cruise control, needs the soiled and transducer (available through online)5. Set of several original GM radios, rare ETR autotune cassette, AM/FM, AM/FM with 8 Track, original AM only radios. All work but I would recap them. 6. A 5th 442 ally rim, with no center cap. Unpainted. I was going to use it as a 5th tire/spare in trunk. Never got around to buying a full size tire and mounting it7. The matching upper door panels to the above bucket seats8. lower plastic door panels in dark blue, in good shape, no sun damage. 9/10 condition. Boxed.9.
