Relisted due to bidder entering bid on wrong car...go figure that one out. 1977 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham, approximately 64000-65000 miles that I know about, can't imagine it has not rolled over based on its age but the engine is clean and runs smooth. Auto choke works fine and transmission runs smooth. I have had this car for 7 years now and need to clear my garage for my newer cars. I purchased this car in Colorado Springs, CO and drove it back to Chicago, was told it sat in a garage for 20 years. I had the exhaust changed, radiator flushed before the drive to Chicago. made the trip without any issues, very nice riding car and quiet engine. What I have done, new tie-rods, new upper and lower ball joints, new cv axles, new shocks in the front and load lifters in the rear (this is a heavy car). Paint and trim is slightly worn a bit but still looks good, I just think this is a beautiful car. New tires and new brakes and rotors were done. It really only needs work done on the interior now. No rust underneath one or two smaller spots. This could be your daily driver right without issues, however I do not drive in rain or snow...she stays in the garage. Due to age of the car it is sold "as-is". I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. If you local come by and take a look, not many of these around and its a beautiful car. I keep the battery on a battery tender. 26 Gal. fuel tank. Small bb crack in windshield. Previous owner put on new Landau top (blue).

I came into possession of this car through my grandparents, the first owners, who used it as a second car and later the primary car for getting around town. While I am technically the third owner, as it was briefly titled to my father before he transferred it to me, I'm the only one who has driven it since my grandfather. It was kept in a garage until I took possession of it in 2002, at which point it was parked outdoors on Chicago neighborhood streets. It has been back in a garage now since 2008. I have never needed the car to commute, so I only occasionally used it for errands or weekend excursions, hence the low mileage. The car is in good shape for its age. It starts on the first try and runs fine. The interior has seen very little wear, and still looks very nice. Since I've had the car I've had the brakes and transmission serviced, put on new tires and replaced the starter, all within the last 3200 miles (see the details below). It probably could use a good overall service and lube because I have rarely driven it more than a few miles in the last few years and it has sat for months at a time. It has some minor rust spots from its time outdoors, as well as dings and scratches in the fenders from city parallel parking. The hood, roof and trunk lid all have some scratches in the finish. I suspect it also needs work done on the muffler and/or exhaust line, because the engine is a bit loud and visually the muffler looks worn. The radio will not power on even though the fuses look okay - I think it's an electrical issue not uncommon to this model but it's never been worth it to me to address it. The antenna was broken off at some point. The car was also apparently in an accident in 2000, prior to when I took possession. Any damage was either negligible or it was repaired, as I haven't ever noticed any damage. I do not have any records regarding the accident. This Toronado came out of a garage in the suburbs. It fires up and runs and drive. It looks like a bit of a time capsule which is great. The body was originally Provincial White and was resprayed some years ago. The new paint looks like hell up close but from 10 feet shes almost a looker. The body is pretty damn solid all around. See all the pictures caefully. As you can see the rockers are nice and solid. The underside looks nice. Couple small hole on low spots of floorpands. The rails and mounting positions all appear solid. The car doesnt appear to have been clipped or wrecked at any point. The front bumper looks like it might be slightly off center. The bumpers are in nice shape. As you can see we have lots of extra trim for the car (pictures). We left it off so you could see the complete body. Everything in the pictures comes with the car. The windshield trim is included (we pulled off the glass). This is a perfect complete restoration candidate. Normally we would restore a car like this but we are currently finishing a Toro GT and I dont need another project. The interior is pretty complete and original. The radio works, the seat power adjustments works, 2 windows work off the switch. All glass is present and good. The speedometer works! Wipers work and so does the power anttenae. The seats have some tears as you can see. The interior smells fine. I believe this to be the original 425 that came in the car. As I mentioned it fires right up and drives. The exhaust is rusted at the headers so it's noisy right now. While we were first running it we noticed the water pump let loose in front of us. I can only assume that having the car sitting for long didnt fare well for the pump. It did build good pressure and move coolant before the pump went. fortunately, we were standing in front of it so we shut it down right away. We only fire it up to move it so it has not been overheated. We put new plugs in it and cleaned the points in the distributor and it idles just fine. I believe it has the original carb. It runs off the fuel we put in the tank so as far as we can tell the fuel tank is still in good shape. The trans seems to work just fine. We pulled ip up on our trialer when we picked it up. This issue does not affect drivability. 3. Headliner needs replaced ($130 or so online)4. nicks and scratches in the paint. you could take it to Macco...5. some rust in the rear quarter panels, pictured, could use some general body work. The rust is surface rust and the body appears to be solid. I have a video on Youtube you can see where I poke at the spot to show it is still solid. 6. One of the bumper trim cut outs on driver side front is missing. I have TWO new replacements, primered and ready to go. I am including those in the auction. Once know as a Supreme Colonnade this euro style cruiser is all original and is finished in stunning Mayan Gold paint, sporting a brown vinyl top. It was said that Mayan Gold cars were the least likely to be in accidents due to the high gloss brightness and shine. The paint is all original and damage free. The interior is wrapped in eloquent saddle velour with the look of a plush corduroy pillow. The reclining bucket seats, radial tires, color-keyed wheelcovers, and upgraded suspesion are what gave this car its luxury european styling similar to the Grand Ams of this period.
