1960 OLDSMOBILE SUPER 88 CONVERTIBLE . My family were Oldsmobile dealers for over 35 years and I have never seen a Super 88 Convertible in this kind of original condition this nice in my life. It has an "8" in the Vin number and "3567" on the original cowl tag. This one is as real as it gets! Original Vin tag is in the door opening. Original colors of Garnet Mist Metallic with Matching Garnet and White Interior, not a color change car. One re-paint stripped down to bare metal, no rust anywhere! Exterior paint is a 9 on a 10 scale. New Top that works perfect. Please look at the photos of the "ORIGINAL RED OXIDE FLOOR PANS". Options are the original 394/315 HP Rocket 4 BBL V8 engine, Original 3 speed Automatic Transmission, Original Rear End Housing! It is Numbers Matching. Other options are Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Convertible Top, Wonderbar AM radio, Deluxe Hub Caps are in place with Rear Fender Skirts. It has a CD Player installed but it is hidden in the glove box and instrument gauges installed under the dash just to keep more in touch with the engine functions while driving and enjoying this wonderful Oldsmobile. An aluminum radiator and extra fan has been installed to keep the car cool. Car is to be actual miles at 71,000 but they are exempt because it is over 10 years old. I do not have a photo of the car with the top down but again it works perfect. Matching red top boot is with the car also. Original cardboard surround is still in the trunk. Not sure what you call it but most of the factory original felt or heavy cloth material that is in between the rear springs that keep them from squeaking is still there! I appreciate any Oldsmobile collector to please come look at this car, it is amazing! These do not come to market very often. From what information I can find they only made 5830 of these cars. In perspective they made 79,903 Chevrolet Impala Convertibles in 1960. These Super 88 Convertibles are very very rare! I will store this car with full insurance until you can make your arrangements to have it shipped. Car cannot leave our secure lockup until funds have cleared my bank.
