I am the third owner of this auto. The person I purchased it from had owned it for 40 years. The car has been in and out of storage for the last 40 years and I believe the mileage to be original I believe the engine is the original numbers matching engine although I have not attempted to confirm that. The original engine has not been overhauled but the usual components have been replaced...Water pump,fuel pump,radiator, and belts and hoses. I replaced the dual exhaust with mild glass pack mufflers, the intake manifold and an Eldlebrock 4 barrell carburetor. All the tires are new. The interior is all original and is in excellent condition except I installed new carpet. What does this mean... ? The car is in excellent mechanical condition but needs a paint job. The car was repainted several decades ago and it was not the best paint job then and is now showing its age. If you can paint a car or know someone who can paint a car for a reasonable price, this is the car for you. It is well worth restoring and if I don't sell it , I will keep it and have it painted myself.

1960 OLDSMOBILE SUPER 88 CONVERTIBLE . My family were Oldsmobile dealers for over 35 years and I have never seen a Super 88 Convertible in this kind of original condition this nice in my life. It has an "8" in the Vin number and "3567" on the original cowl tag. This one is as real as it gets! Original Vin tag is in the door opening. Original colors of Garnet Mist Metallic with Matching Garnet and White Interior, not a color change car. One re-paint stripped down to bare metal, no rust anywhere! Exterior paint is a 9 on a 10 scale. New Top that works perfect. Please look at the photos of the "ORIGINAL RED OXIDE FLOOR PANS". Options are the original 394/315 HP Rocket 4 BBL V8 engine, Original 3 speed Automatic Transmission, Original Rear End Housing! It is Numbers Matching. Other options are Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Convertible Top, Wonderbar AM radio, Deluxe Hub Caps are in place with Rear Fender Skirts. It has a CD Player installed but it is hidden in the glove box and instrument gauges installed under the dash just to keep more in touch with the engine functions while driving and enjoying this wonderful Oldsmobile. An aluminum radiator and extra fan has been installed to keep the car cool. Car is to be actual miles at 71,000 but they are exempt because it is over 10 years old. I do not have a photo of the car with the top down but again it works perfect. Matching red top boot is with the car also. Original cardboard surround is still in the trunk. Not sure what you call it but most of the factory original felt or heavy cloth material that is in between the rear springs that keep them from squeaking is still there! I appreciate any Oldsmobile collector to please come look at this car, it is amazing! These do not come to market very often. From what information I can find they only made 5830 of these cars. In perspective they made 79,903 Chevrolet Impala Convertibles in 1960. These Super 88 Convertibles are very very rare! Running and driving 1970 Rallye 350 Cutlass, very rare 1970 made only @ 2,200 of these cars, owned since 1987, original protect-o-plate and some paperwork, rebuilt factory rocket 350 with forged steel balanced crank, rebiult 700r O/D trans (also have factory t350), new posi installed in rear end, black bucket interior, "glass house" non-post holiday coupe, replaced headliner,carpet, and driver seat cover. Interior nice except small tear in passenger seat and crack in dash. Frame pulled and cleaned/painted replacing: frame bushings,control arm bushings,sway bar bushings,upper and lower ball joints,brake hoses. Driven about 10 or 15k miles around town and trips since rebuild so its not clean like a show car. A/C currnently not working but changed over from r-12. No original air cleaner. This is a 1969 Factory built 442. The car underwent a full frame off restoration from 2005-2006. The car was stripped to metal and painted in DuPont original color Crimson Red. There were several coats of clear coat applied and it looks great today as you see in the pictures. The interior original and shows the care the car has had over the years. The top is new including rear glass and is in the original factory color of black - it works as it should. During the restoration the Hydramatic Transmission was rebuilt and shifts are smooth and hard to detect. The block on the motor was replaced. There are 14880 miles since the restoration. The car has been garage kept. $7500 of receipts from 2011-2015 will accompany the car and include brakes, tires at 85-90%, complete brakes, ac compressor and belts - blows cold at 95 degrees, new steering wheel (original comes with the car). NOTE: The stereo is an upgrade Kenwood and sounds great - OEM GM Radios can be found on eBay for $60-$90. All lights and signals work except for the light in the center console. The rear wing was not original factory equipment but was dealer installed - there is a hairline crack that does not show up in pictures. New front windshield and all glass is clear. New left and right mirrors as well as door handles. Power Steering and Brakes. Compression is good on all cylinders and the car has no smoke or leaks - acceleration is instant and you will smoke tires if you are heavy on the gas. At 70 MPH it tracks straight - more importantly it stops straight as an arrow - the brakes are dialed in. The car is sorted out, it starts without issue the first time, sounds great, drives great. I am a private seller with a 100% satisfaction rating. I cant take trades or help with shipping. PLEASE if you are going to bid and need financing have it lined up beforehand.
