You are looking at a very nice 442 with well documented 1-family ownership. The car starts easily, runs strong, doesn't smoke, and the transmission shifts flawlessly. The engine was rebuilt many years ago using a period correct block. It drives and brakes straight and true as well. We performed some general maintenance because the owner had not driven the car in years. The gas tank and sending unit were replaced, along with all brake lines, hoses, and master cylinder. There is also a brand new starter. The top motor is a bit weak and may need replacement, but it does go up and down. This car will need a new top and some body work for some minor dents and dings. There appears to be some hail damage to the hood and trunk as well as a couple dents on the driver door and right rear quarter. The chassis is completely solid and straight with no signs of collision damage. There is only spotty surface rust on the chassis mixed in with original undercoat. Nothing that a wire brush can't fix. All the floors are original with no rust. There is a small spot of rust under the battery tray, that's it! This wonderful survivor is priced to sell, so don't miss out!!! Up for sale is my 1986 Oldsmobile 442. This is a completely untouched, original car. I purchased this car from the original owner's family, and he was still driving it to and from work. The car runs and drives well. All of the original equipment is in tact. The car has 83,000 original miles. The paint has the typical GM fading/checking for this era over the whole car. The interior is complete and in good shape with only one tear in the driver's seat but has some sun fading. There are only (3) spots of rust on the exterior of the car: one is on the driver's side rear fender behind the wheel, and the other two are on the bottom of each door. You will be able to see this in the photos. There is no rust/rot in the trunk. Under the hood everything is original but will need a new dip stick tube to be installed. I do have a brand new NOS dip stick tube that comes with the car. I have all original documents such as: window sticker, warranty booklet, sales brochure, owner's manual in original jacket with "Oldsmobile" steno paper. It has the original block, transmission and rear-end. It also currently has aluminum intake and heads. It definitely is not your fathers Oldsmobile. Over a years worth of work was put into the restoration. Every nut and bolt has either been preserved or restored with the correct finishes. The marker light and taillight housings have even been replated. It has an all new legendary interior, and top. The carpet is original, as there is nothing better fitting than original if you can keep it. A rally pack in the dash has been added. The car has been shown and won a 1st place at the 2013 Oldsmobile Nationals scoring 989. It took a Concours gold at MCACN in 2013 scoring 992. It received an AACA junior first prize in August of 2014 and was recently awarded (Feb 2015) the AACA 2014 REO Oldsmobile award for Best Oldsmobile as selected by the national judges. This Olds was treated to a complete restoration with less than 5,000 miles on it. Starting with a solid body featuring all of its original panels. The inner door frames, interior trunk and engine compartment still has its original paint. This car is laser straight, with a $20k paint job that is immaculate and all the gaps line up better than new. Underneath car no visual sign of body work. This 1970 442 came equipped with the legendary 455 cubic inch big block V8 and this one is mated from the factory with the more desirable 4-speed manual. Power steering, posi traction, and a 12 bolt rear are all there in this 442. The interior features original bucket seats, and the original AM/ FM Delco radio (radio works fine but reception is not great because of the built-in front glass antenna). The only notable item not functioning is the clock (Tic Toc Clock). This is a 442 optioned with all original W30 parts (factory air induction fiberglass hood, factory red plastic front fender wells) I was told on this 442 the original 1970 W30 parts were installed at time of delivery (not reproduction parts). Numbers matching engine. The car is in excellent condition . Prior to it's restoration this 442 has had a charmed life; it was a professionally drag raced car. Disconnected line lock is evident.That is one of the reason this 442 remained in very original and great condition. All metal appears original and 90% of the glass is original.
