The car was restored a few years ago, and has been driven very few miles since. The vehicle is a strong daily driver. The white paint is the cars best feature; it has a mirror finish and some of the best we have seen on any car!!! The floors are excellent. The interior was redone in black leather, and white piping. The carpets were replaced as well. A new PANASONIC stereo with CD player was just installed. The canvas lined vinyl top is new, and the car comes with a matching tonneau cover. THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT 5 years ago, runs strong, and is in an excellent state of tune. She has a PERTRONIX ignition. The rebuilt 4-speed transmission is excellent, and the clutch, the clutch slave and master cylinder are well maintained, and the car stops with authority. The radiator was recently recored and she has an auxiliary electric fan, oil cooler and fuel pump. She starts well runs smoothly and has good power and torque. The chrome is excellent, and she features working Lucas driving lights. The newer tires ride on base metal wire wheels with chrome knock-offs. Brakes are fresh, and the car stops with authority. All mechanical systems work, as they should. The cost of reproducing this MGB, as is, would be in excess of the reserve price. The trunk has new carpets and holds a matching wire spare tire. A car cover is included with the car. These early chrome bumper MG s are the most desirable of the “B” series cars. They are a joy to drive, and give the driver the classic roadster experience. This car is in wonderful condition, and has been sympathetic restored over the years, with the goal of producing an excellent driver quality car. The body is painted RED with a BLACK convertible top, the interior is done in TAN LEATHER and TAN carpeting. The paint is very good depth and luster, and no visible imperfections. New front and rear chrome bumpers with new over riders were installed. The 1600cc engine was refreshed, the valves were adjusted, the dual SU carbs rebuilt and ignition system overhauled (Pertronix electronic ignition). A new radiator and fuel tank were recently installed. The engine is strong, has good power and torque and starts easily. New carburettors were installed within the past year and the car runs and drives just as it should. The hydraulics for the brake and clutch systems have been attended to and well maintained; the car stops with authority. The interior is newer and the seats are leather. Carpets are in nice condition, and the trunk was also carpeted. The convertible Stayfast top is excellent and the car has a tonneau cover. The wire wheels are in excellent condition and the Vredestein tires are almost new. She has a modern Sony stereo with ipod hookup, a battery cutoff switch, Wood steering wheel and a wooden shift knob. The car is mechanically and cosmetically excellent, and drives beautifully, all she needs is an enthusiastic new owner. This car is in wonderful condition, and has been sympathetic restored over the years, with the goal of producing an excellent driver quality car. The body is painted RED with a BLACK convertible top, the interior is done in TAN LEATHER and TAN carpeting. The paint is very good depth and luster, and no visible imperfections. New front and rear chrome bumpers with new over riders were installed. The 1600cc engine was refreshed, the valves were adjusted, the dual SU carbs rebuilt and ignition system overhauled (Pertronix electronic ignition). A new radiator and fuel tank were recently installed. The engine is strong, has good power and torque and starts easily. New carburettors were installed within the past year and the car runs and drives just as it should. The hydraulics for the brake and clutch systems have been attended to and well maintained; the car stops with authority. The interior is newer and the seats are leather. Carpets are in nice condition, and the trunk was also carpeted. The convertible Stayfast top is excellent and the car has a tonneau cover. The wire wheels are in excellent condition and the Vredestein tires are almost new. She has a modern Sony stereo with ipod hookup, a battery cutoff switch, Wood steering wheel and a wooden shift knob. The car was the recipient of a body off restoration at a cost of more than $60K, and remains in wonderful mechanical and cosmetic condition. She is the ultimate road going MG TD. The car was assembled using a later 1800cc MGB powertrain, she runs and drives like a much newer more reliable car, while maintaining her stock appearance. The car is finished in English Cream (a very pale yellow), a new dark green leather interior and powder coated dark green wheels. All the chrome was rechromed or bought new. She is currently fitted with both her original style windshield, and Brooklands windscreens allowing her to keep her original wiper system and use the soft top. The beige top is in excellent condition, as are the bows and top mechanism. Performance comes from her performance prepared 1798cc MGB engine with its high lift cam, high compression head and a Webber racing carburetor. As you would expect from ~110 horsepower (the original was 49!) the car offers excellent performance. A high capacity custom made radiator handles the additional cooling demands of the engine. The electrical system was upgraded to 12 volt with a Bosch alternator and electronic ignition. Likewise, handling is true to its racing heritage. It has front wheel disc brakes from an MGB and rear tube shocks (the original TDs just sat on springs in the rear) and rack and pinion steering. All modifications were done using MGA parts and components, so everything looks correct. This car is very capable of sustained 70-75 mph driving. She starts easily and offers a wonderful driving experience. At 60 she is perfectly in its power band (about 3500 RPM) and third gear is a delight: the car pulls easily from a stop, all the way up her 85+ MPH top speed. It's easy to see why this gearing was chosen, this car is very reliable and well sorted. She has proven very reliable as the previous owner took long trips in it with no issues whatsoever. The car was the recipient of a body off restoration at a cost of more than $60K, and remains in wonderful mechanical and cosmetic condition. She is the ultimate road going MG TD. The car was assembled using a later 1800cc MGB powertrain, she runs and drives like a much newer more reliable car, while maintaining her stock appearance. The car is finished in English Cream (a very pale yellow), a new dark green leather interior and powder coated dark green wheels. All the chrome was rechromed or bought new. She is currently fitted with both her original style windshield, and Brooklands windscreens allowing her to keep her original wiper system and use the soft top. The beige top is in excellent condition, as are the bows and top mechanism. Performance comes from her performance prepared 1798cc MGB engine with its high lift cam, high compression head and a Webber racing carburetor. As you would expect from ~110 horsepower (the original was 49!) the car offers excellent performance. A high capacity custom made radiator handles the additional cooling demands of the engine. The electrical system was upgraded to 12 volt with a Bosch alternator and electronic ignition. Likewise, handling is true to its racing heritage. It has front wheel disc brakes from an MGB and rear tube shocks (the original TDs just sat on springs in the rear) and rack and pinion steering. All modifications were done using MGA parts and components, so everything looks correct. This car is very capable of sustained 70-75 mph driving. She starts easily and offers a wonderful driving experience. At 60 she is perfectly in its power band (about 3500 RPM) and third gear is a delight: the car pulls easily from a stop, all the way up her 85+ MPH top speed. It's easy to see why this gearing was chosen, this car is very reliable and well sorted. She has proven very reliable as the previous owner took long trips in it with no issues whatsoever.
