The series included the MG TA, MG TB, MG TC, MG TD, and MG TF Midget models. This 52 MG TD roadster was originally restored by the MG club of New England and was driven in the Circuit of Great Britain in 2000. This classy little roadster was once owned by Ballantines Scotch Company and was auctioned off by the company in honoring the 30th anniversary of their 1952 (our cars year) bottle of Scotch. The power plant for this 1952 MG TD is the original 1250 cc (1.3L) I4 four cylinder engine that is linked to four speed manual transmission both sporting a little over 24,000 miles since being rebuilt in 1982. This sporty little roadster was a California car for a little over 32 years and has been very well preserved and maintained over the years. This 1952 MG TD comes with a few extras like the side curtains, a tonneau cover, rear tire cover and the visor deflectors. Options Include: Manual convertible top, seat belts and leather interior. This roadster is very solid with decent paint. The frame looks good as do all of the panels. The indicators added by a previous owner look a little odd but will take little effort to relocate or remove. They are not connected into the wiring and there is no indicator switch. Upholstery looks relatively new and a new steering wheel has been added (the original one will go with the car), It has new rear brake cylinders and a new brake light switch. The distributor internals were rebuilt and it has a new cap and ignition wires. The tan top is in great condition and a new custom top cover has been fitted.
