HERE IS A 2000 MERCURY COUGAR I PURCHASED THIS FOR A WINTER PROJECT BUT FOUND ANOTHER CAR I LIKE BETTER. HAS 179000 MILES ON IT AND IS YELLOW IN COLOR. WHEN PURCHASED WAS TOLD THAT IT HAD A BLOWN HEAD GASKET. SINCE DRIVING IT HAVE FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF THIS. IDLES GOOD NO WATER IN THE OIL OR WATER COMING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE. DOES NOT OVER HEAT WHEN DRIVEN. I HAVE DONE NO FURTHER INVESTIGATION TO BE ABLE TO TELL YOU IF THERE IS A BLOWN HEAD GASKET OR NOT AND THIS IS HOW I AM SELLING IT. CAR HAS A SUNROOF, POWER WINDOWS AND LOCKS AIR CONDITIONING AND A POWER DRIVERS SEAT. HAS A WING ON THE BACK AND IS THE SPORTS MODEL. ALL THE GLASS IS GOOD AND THE BODY HAS A COUPLE OF DINGS, AS DOES THE HOOD. THERE IS A RUST SPOT UNDER THE DRIVERS DOOR THAT IS THE WORST. HAS SOME BUBBLING IN A COUPLE OF OTHER PLACES. This car was sold new in California and ended up in Kansas and has been stored inside for many years. Engine and transmission were removed years ago ...so its being sold as complete car without engine and transmission. Was planning to restore as an Eliminator that's the reason for the 70 front end. The worst part on the cougar are the lower rear quarters. Floor board is solid. Appear to have all origional interior and is complete. Headliner is down and dash pad needs repaired. Drivers seat has some wear spots, the rest of the seats and door panels are good with no tears. Full console. Headlight assemblies will be a separate unit and is a complete front end as seen in pictures. It will make a good car to restore as it has always been stored inside.

Vehicle come with extra doors, hood, trunk lid, new carpet, new windshield and assorted other extra and spare parts. . Transmission has never given me any problems. It is a factory air conditioning car and all parts are there but it does not work I am selling to make room for other projects. The pictures will show what has been done and what needs to be done is as described. The tires are good, the hide-away headlamps work and the sequential turn signals work well. The original motor and points system for the turn signals works and were re-built last year. Trunk has been re-done and the gas tank is a year old. The front suspension and steering has also been re-built and the car goes down the road very well. The original 289 was gone when I bought car but there is a very strong 302 in its place and the transmission work well.Vehicle come with extra doors, hood, trunk lid, new carpet, new windshield and assorted other extra and spare parts. The rear springs, shocks and all the brakes have been re-built and work very well. This is a project car and I am just selling to make room. Have driven car to local shows and it does very well on highway. The vehicle needs the cowl panel, floors and frame rails re-done. All common problems for the Cougars and Mustangs of the day. Parts are available, just don't have room right now and don't want to see car outside over the winter. Any questions will be answered as best as I can. Shipping is to be paid by buyer. Vehicle can be driven, that is of course up to the buyer. I would suggest if buyer is over 150 miles from my location that car be trailered, but that is up to buyer.
