The Mercedes-Benz R107 was the second longest single series ever produced by Mercedes-Benz built from 1971 through 1989. The R107 replaced the Pagoda W113 SL-Class in 1971. The 560SL models only produced from 1986 through 1989 and were the most desirable ones of all the R107s in the US.Condition and HistoryThis 560SL is a pristine example of a 1st OWNER car! (Except one transfer recently within the same Family, same last name) This 1988 Mercedes Benz 560SL HARDTOP / SOFT TOP CONVERTIBLE with all matching #s was originally purchased new in GERMANY by the 1st owner where it was driven for the whole summer through Bavaria. After, it was shipped to Oregon where it lived his whole life until it was shipped to HAWAII in 2015 to his summer house. The car always kept covered in a fully enclosed garage and it has been meticulously cared for and fully maintained by its owner. The flawless original Mercedes color paint is finished in this gorgeous Signal Red that complements beautifully the attractive looking Tan Leather interior. The odometer reads 58,000 miles and is in great working condition as all the other cluster instruments and buttons in the dashboard. The tan leather interior is in great condition with no rips or tears and LOOKS & SMELLS like new! There are absolutely NO cracks or rips on the dashboard and the wood. The original BECKER GRAND PRIX CASSETTE radio with the power antenna is working perfectly. The Body is straight as an arrow. All doors, hood are all aligned like they should extremely well taken care off as you can see from the photo's. The doors and the trunk close nicely with no extra effort as they supposed to. The spare wheel, jack and all original tools are in the trunk. The A/C is working as all the buttons on the A/C control unit. The chrome all over the car is also in tip top shape. The dark brown soft top looks like BRAND NEW and has almost never been up. The hard top has all great seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. The engine runs smooth, strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no oil leaks. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool and it does not smoke. The engine compartment as well as all the carpets are also very clean and look re-presentable. This SL comes with 1 set of keys, 2 x top removal tools, all the original maintenance books and the owner’s manual.We recently have had a full maintenance job was done, re charged the Freon, added 4 new continental tires. Meticulously MB serviced, garage kept / covered and privately used for pleasure. Some trees / camera flash shadows, but rest assured, the paint / interior are both crisp all the way around. Also has a 3M clear front bra on the hood and mirrors. Have all books, manuals, documented Carfax, build sheet, front tag plate never mounted, 2 orig. keys / 2 valets, and old convertible hydraulics parts from replacement ( see pic ). Can assist with shipping as I have an honest, excellent contact. 1998 Mercedes SL 500 w/ 52000 mi. - Hard to find Red / Beige leather. Has the added options of: Headlamp washers and Integrated phone. An unmolested, 2 owner car with NO ACCIDENTS / DAMAGE / NEVER SMOKED IN.. The original Red paint has an amazing glow w/ no fade or markings. The exterior trim, moldings, handles, window glass, emblems, roof panel, rubber seals and all else are in perfect condition. The 16' rims are clean and the Uniroyal W rated tires have 95%+ tread. Never mistreated or driven hard. Exterior is a solid 9.5 / 10. On the inside, the Beige interior still looks, feels and smells crisp. As you can see, the interior has limited wear. The door panels, dash, center console, buttons and faceplates are unmarked. All of the switches ( power windows, door locks, cruise, antenna, and 6 way power seats work without issue. The Bose stereo system sounds great. The undercarriage is dry / rust free. Inside, it is a 9.75+ / 10. Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as a fine tuned machine should. The V8 engine performs efficiently on all levels. Has had all of the Dealer pertinent and preventative maintenance done with only MB parts. Recent oil, alignment and drive belt done. It shifts and handles like a well oiled machine should. The a/c is cold and the brakes have plenty of pad left. There is nothing that needs to be done for quite some time. Just keep 93 gas, do the synthetic oil and this baby will take exceptional care of you for years to come.
