Up for auction is this 2003 Mercedes W220 S55 AMG, Car has had many new parts installed and work performed recently. Car is fully loaded with the exception of heated steering wheel and rear climate control. Options S55 AMG ABC, dynamic seats front, heated/cooled seat front/rear, door shades rear doors, rear reclining seats, rear window shade, dual climate control front, soft close doors, power open/close trunk, DTS, sunroof, navigation, CD, keyless go, power windows and paddle shifting Car runs and drive very strong, pulls very smoothly, has all kinds of power and shifts as it should. AC blows cold, heat is hot, ABC works as it should, all options work. Tires are virtually new no rust, no major dents. Car has had the heads removed new valve seals, and general service on the heads(valves dressed and all valve train parts inspected and tested). Engine was removed, for the head service. The original engine was replaced with an engine(bought without heads) that the supplier claims had 3000 kilometres on it. From inspection of the engine it seems like it could be less then 3000km on it. All genuine Mercedes gaskets, seals, bolts, sealants were used in building the engine. Head bolts, crankshaft pulley bolt, rocker arm bolts were all replaced with the proper bolts right from the dealer. Front cover, oil pan was removed for inspection of engine. Double idler pulley was replaced with an alloy set. The supercharger, alternator, starter, exhaust manifolds, are all from the original engine. New plugs, air filters, oil filter, engine oil, have all been changed. ABC and transmission had a flush. Car has been driven just over 1000km since all the above has been done. This should be a great car for the new owner. Here is your chance to drive a true AMG car for pennies on the dollar. What the car needs small list Rims repainted, right side trunk liner installed, detailed(interior exterior couple small scratches will buff out), left rear door speaker cover cracked, KEYLESS GO synced(card was replaced a quick visit to someone with STAR) Take care of the very small list for a 2003 car and you will have a great car. The above are the only known problems. So for this low reserve price you can drive a S55 with an virtually new engine( cannot guaranty that the replacement engine only has 3000km but form what I have seen I do believe it does can send pictures of the engine and you can decide for yourself). This is a turn key car and can be driven home. Mercedes recommends 1500 miles before driving a new AMG engine hard so I treated this engine the same way. Car has not been driven hard, engine has not been brought over 2000 rpm for the first 500 kilometres, oil has been changed 3 times since being installed, 500-1000 kilometres car has been driven above 2000 rpm and has been driven a various RPM never holding at any given RPM for extended periods. I just do not have the time/place to finish the car to bring it back to a super car. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty given or implied. Photocopies of all receipts/invoice for parts and service are available when car is picked up. Ask all/any questions on this item before bidding, car must be paid in full before the car or title leaves, if paying when pick up it must be cash or certified cheque from local bank. Up for auction is this 2003 Mercedes S55 with almost very option. Lowest priced S55 AMG on eBay!! Dynamic seats, heated/cooled seat front/back, electric rear seats, DTS(automatic cruise control adjust speed), Keyless go, soft close doors, power open/close trunk, navigation, CD, paddle shifting, rear door blinds, rear window sunshade and more Car has good tires 80-90% tread remaining, had the serpentine belt replaced, supercharger belt replaced, supercharger pulley bearing replaced, double idler pulley, right trunk hinge, hydraulic system for trunk, engine cover replaced and more The AC blows cold, heat works, rear sunshade works, soft close doors work, ABC suspension does not drop even after a couple of months of sitting/or in the cold, car raises to both levels, suspension switches to sport, dynamic seats work, heated/cooled seats work, brakes seem fine, under carriage is clean, supercharger engages as it should, car runs strong, starts right up, idles smooth, runs at normal operating temperature, engine fan comes on, hood struts hold the hood, DTS works, paddle shifting works great and transmission shifts smoothly. This car runs great needs some TLC car sold as is where is. It does have a valid e-test. This was supposed to be a project car for me but due to health reasons it will not happen. With some TLC and some turning of a wrench you will have one great car. I actually do not want to see the car go. I tried to post a quick video so you could hear the car and see there is no warning lights but eBay would not let me post the you tube link. Known problems: When the serpentine belt broke the engine oil level warning message came on. It could just be the wire is loose on sensor, coolant leak, trunk lid needs aligned after hinge was replaced, since car was sitting with battery dead(before I bought it) the Tele Aide warning is on( can be reset at your local indie shop)scratch on hood, rub mark on hood rims could use repainted. I have not tried the kelyess go push start. I do have the keyless go card. The coolant leak is the biggest issue with the car, hood could be buffed out and scratch touched up, trunk alignment easy with two people. The car sits with a battery maintainer so the car will not need reset. Battery holds charge and is a Mercedes OEM battery 122,550 miles/197,226km on the car no rust interior is nice Look at pictures and bid accordingly. More pictures are available but could be a couple days in the making. This a 12 year old Mercedes so it is not showroom condition, nor am I claiming it is prefect. The car needs work. I am not sure what it will take to be on the road in other provinces/states. I have a new set of front brake pads in box that will go with the car. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty at all buyer responsible for all taxes, duties, transportation cost, registration fees, mileage might be higher then posted mileage.
