Up for auction is this 2003 Mercedes W220 S55 AMG, Car has had many new parts installed and work performed recently. Car is fully loaded with the exception of heated steering wheel and rear climate control. Options S55 AMG ABC, dynamic seats front, heated/cooled seat front/rear, door shades rear doors, rear reclining seats, rear window shade, dual climate control front, soft close doors, power open/close trunk, DTS, sunroof, navigation, CD, keyless go, power windows and paddle shifting Car runs and drive very strong, pulls very smoothly, has all kinds of power and shifts as it should. AC blows cold, heat is hot, ABC works as it should, all options work. Tires are virtually new no rust, no major dents. Car has had the heads removed new valve seals, and general service on the heads(valves dressed and all valve train parts inspected and tested). Engine was removed, for the head service. The original engine was replaced with an engine(bought without heads) that the supplier claims had 3000 kilometres on it. From inspection of the engine it seems like it could be less then 3000km on it. All genuine Mercedes gaskets, seals, bolts, sealants were used in building the engine. Head bolts, crankshaft pulley bolt, rocker arm bolts were all replaced with the proper bolts right from the dealer. Front cover, oil pan was removed for inspection of engine. Double idler pulley was replaced with an alloy set. The supercharger, alternator, starter, exhaust manifolds, are all from the original engine. New plugs, air filters, oil filter, engine oil, have all been changed. ABC and transmission had a flush. Car has been driven just over 1000km since all the above has been done. This should be a great car for the new owner. Here is your chance to drive a true AMG car for pennies on the dollar. What the car needs small list Rims repainted, right side trunk liner installed, detailed(interior exterior couple small scratches will buff out), left rear door speaker cover cracked, KEYLESS GO synced(card was replaced a quick visit to someone with STAR) Take care of the very small list for a 2003 car and you will have a great car. The above are the only known problems. So for this low reserve price you can drive a S55 with an virtually new engine( cannot guaranty that the replacement engine only has 3000km but form what I have seen I do believe it does can send pictures of the engine and you can decide for yourself). This is a turn key car and can be driven home. Mercedes recommends 1500 miles before driving a new AMG engine hard so I treated this engine the same way. Car has not been driven hard, engine has not been brought over 2000 rpm for the first 500 kilometres, oil has been changed 3 times since being installed, 500-1000 kilometres car has been driven above 2000 rpm and has been driven a various RPM never holding at any given RPM for extended periods. I just do not have the time/place to finish the car to bring it back to a super car. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty given or implied. Photocopies of all receipts/invoice for parts and service are available when car is picked up.
