During it's 3,000 + hour restoration a factory 5-speed transmission was installed in the car making it a very special handling car and an awesome highway car. Once shifted into its fifth gear you can travel from coast to coast with a very relaxed rpm. This is without doubt the best coupe that you will find - anything that could have been bought new from the Mercedes Benz dealer was purchased for this beautiful, costly and time consuming restoration. All of its chrome work was done by the best shop in Los Angeles [Christensen Plating] - and they have been doing our work for the last 35 years and know these cars like no one else. Odometer does not work but the reading is 69K. Car starts right up. Interior is all original. Looks like original miles. no rollover. Pristine condition. Showroom car. never stored outdoors. In need of regular service but the engine and transmission is fine. body is straight. Nothing aftermarket about the car except the radio in the glove-box. original radio is still in dash. Original manual and service book as well. There will not be a need for any repairs on this car. it is all there and ready for a new owner.
