No reserve auction for a running driving car. This a 1987 560sl that spent nearly it entire life 278,000+ miles with one owner. The miles are actual on this car and the trip meter does work as does the clock. Original owner had the engine rebuilt/ overhauled with new valve sleeves ect. Currently the car is running and driving and I have driven it on a nice day without a problem. This car starts right up, the idle control valve needs to be adjusted as it has been in storage for past few years. When in park the car idles higher than it should, once it goes into drive it idles without a problem at 500rpm. The transmission shifts nicely and all gears work forward and reverse, the shift lever is a little stiff from sitting. All tires are in good condition no dry rot and good tread matching dunlop all seasons on the front and matching snow tires on the rear. I dont drive it in the snow but it is how the car was received from the original owner. The soft top is ok has one tear, no cracks in the windows will eventually need to be replaced. The hardtop has peeling in the clearcoat but it is not terrible. The car does have some rest over the two rear fenders and the drivers rocker panel. This would be a good restoration project that you can also drive whenever you want. The heat works as does the blower motor, i drove it on a cold day and the defroster did its job up front and in the grass window in the hardtop. The windows works, as do the horns, turn signals, wipers, lights. New air and smog filters. Brakes are excellent very firm and you have no question you will stop with this car. Steers nice too its pretty solid for its age and the suspension isnt bad at all. Engine makes nice power and this car cruises at 60 without any problems. When in drive the car idles with the engine oil pressure is just under the 3 mark which is excellent. The car has a clean Ohio title and a clean carfax report, it has never been in a accident or painted. I am selling my 1998 S320 Mercedes long wheel base sedan with AMG package. This car is one of the last years for the big body and has all the updated electronics. 157,000 Miles runs perfect, the air is ice cold, and i have never had to have it charged. Updated AMG wheels from a S55 cost over $1200 with continental tires. Has the factory 6 disc cd changer, side airbags, bullet proof windows with privacy tint, soft closing doors. All the back lights on the instrument cluster work and were replaced 6 months ago. Original radio with awesome bose systemThe interior of the car is about a 8 out of 10 no cuts or tears and its very clean. Some wear on drivers seat and arm rest other than that its very nice. New front brake rotors and pads, new rear pads. Only serviced with Mobile One synthetic oil and mann oil filter and it will need a oil change in 6700 miles. No Check engine lights on i drive it every day. two keys, new remote key and valet key.Windows, sunroof and keyless entry all work properly. This winter it had a coolant flush and new thermostat installed as well as a new vaccum pump motorThis is the long wheel base edition, and i have the full service history with the car since it was new. Hi this is my historic and beautiful Mercedes 380SL convertible with a matching hardtop. This car is originally from Daytona Beach and has been well cared for. 137000 actual miles with brilliant silver paint and a black interior with the Zebrano wood trim. Has the matching black Mercedes floor mats. The seats are in great shape no cuts or tears. Has a double pin stripe as well. Original AC works and is coldI just brought it out of the garage for the winter and it is a blast to drive. Original radio works as well as the power antenna. Both windows work. Odometer works and is accurate, car has 137,000 real miles. Clock works as well. Has the original manual, spare tire, jack, tools, and the matching silver hardtop. The hardtop is original and in excellent condition the headliner is not sagging or stained, paint and glass is nice and defroster works. Car has Mercedes service sticker from 67000 miles. I would rate this car a 3 on the Hagerty guide which is roughly a $9200. The soft top on the car is dark blue and the rear windows are perfect and clear not cut, cracked or scratched. The soft top is water tight and looks great no dry rot or tears. This is not the original top it was replaced a few years ago. Has new wipers and the wipers work as well as the windshield washer. All glass is good as well no scratches or cracks. Newer brakes as well.Car runs great shifts smooth and the V8 does not disappoint you. The chrome looks fantastic and it shines. This is a every day driver not a project, you could do a few minor touch ups to make the car cosmetically perfect but that does not affect its drive ability. This is a very nice 380SL it is very clean and one of the nicest I have seen. All the running lights work as well as the windows and turn signals. The car has had the double timing chain service done as well. I have it registered with historical plates, car is kept in the garage. I can send more pics of anything else you would like to see on this car. It is a clean original survivor car, the miles will increase a little as i drive it as often as i can. Car looks great and the paint holds a nice smooth shine, you will look good no matter where you take this car. Drives straight down the road no vibrations or shakes and feels good on the highway.
