1987 Mazda R-7 Turbo II for Sale - $3,800 O.B.O For all of those rotary enthusiasts, here is a Turbo II up for sale that may be just what you are looking for. I’m selling this car because I no longer drive it (since I got my Z-06) and I won’t have room for it when I move at the end of the summer. So, it’s got to go! I had been setting this car up for sporty driving and autocross, but never got around to driving it much. See below for the details. -1987 Turbo II with 148k miles on body , with ~30k on a rebuilt Mazda Reman engine -Engine rebuilt in ~2004 with street port, 3 piece seals and FD side and corner seals (built and ported by Performance Specialists Inc) - dyno’d at 313 rwhp after rebuild with current setup --Engine emission components removed and block off plates installed --Solid aluminum engine mounts --Haltech E6K standalone engine management - fully tunable via laptop -Turbo - older style HKS T04E, ~57 trim, internal wastegate --HKS boost controller --Intercooler - older style HKS front mount (has a broken mounting bracket in need of repair) --Blow off valve - HKS --Bonez intake air filter -Fuel system - Walbro 255 in-tank fuel pump, 1600cc secondary fuel injectors AEM rising rate FPR and SS braided lines -Corksport 3 inch stainless downpipe and full exhaust w/additional magnaflow muffler and magnaflow spun high flow cat (don’t know if it would pass emissions), w silencer -6 puck unsprung ACT clutch and heavy duty pressure plate (good grab, but difficult to drive) -Suspension - Megan racing coilovers, fully adjustable - autocross alignment (see pics for alignment) --Stock suspension bushings removed and replaced with polyurethane Energy Suspension bushings (this was painstaking, be glad you don’t have to do this yourself!) --Rear steer eliminator bushings -Electric radiator fan -Tires - kumho ecsta supra tires, decent tread left on them (225s) -Practically new (very low mile) brake rotors and Hawk HPS pads -Hood lifters - helps vent engine heat and gives a unique style (take it off if you don’t like!) -Power steering eliminated/removed -A/C removed -BUR9EQs spark plugs all around w/ aftermarket cables -Simpson 3 point harness on drivers side (good for autox use) -Aftermarket adjustable dash mounted shift light -Aftermarket Pioneer stereo with MP3 playback -Fresh oil in engine, trans, and diff (with LSD friction additive) Issues/negatives -Small water leak somewhere - I can’t trace it down. I’m not sure if it’s in or out of the engine, your guess is as good as mine. I have to frequently check the water levels and add when needed. -Engine tune needs to be improved for cold start and cold driving - starts and runs rough until warm -Wear and tear for a pretty old vehicle (see photos); some hail damage to exterior, faded paint, dented passenger quarter panel, some surface scratching, windows and sunroof move slowly (could be lubed), small oil leak from oil pan ( a few drips on pavement) etc...in general this car isn’t necessarily a looker or in perfect shape, but it’s a performer. -Needs new stereo surround plastic paneling, existing panel was broken and discarded. -Oil metering pump removed - must mix 1 ounce 2 stroke oil per gallon of gas at fuel up -A/C removed -Power steering is removed (converted power rack) so there is a lot of feedback and it can be difficult to drive. This could be fixed relatively easily by converting to a manual rack if you prefer to change it. -Rear radio speakers removed to allow space for suspension adjusters I’m sad to get rid of this car, but I don’t want to put it into extended storage. So, make an offer and maybe it can be yours! Thanks,

Trim Turbo
