I am offering my personal Maserati Mexico 4.7 5 Speed, with power steering for sale. I won't bore you with historical details about the rarity of the Mexico but here is a factory link; http://www1.maserati.com/maserati/qa/en/index/maserati-life/heritage/gran-turismo/m-mexico4-2.html This Mexico has had an extensive $275,000 nut and bolt restoration completed in 2010 by my company JML Restorations in Santa Barbara CA. My business is restoring vintage Maserati GT cars. 2400 hours and over $157,000 in parts and sublet labor makes this a super great value (do the math!). These cars are quite expensive to restore and take about two years to complete. Project cars, non running, and severely rusted Mexicos are now running $70,000 and up. This car has won numerous First Place awards and Best of Show at Concorso Italiano in August 2009. You will be hard pressed to find a better Mexico anywhere in the world. It runs and drives as good as it looks. Matching numbers, power steering, ZF 5 speed, Borrani wires wheels (52 Size), 4.7 engine, etc and all in superb condition ready to show and drive. Every component has been restored, refurbished and or replaced with new and all done with correct factory details. Engine, trans, clutch, rear axle, brakes, suspension, shocks (Konis), cooling system, discrete custom 8 speaker audio system running thru a restored Becker Mexico from the period. iPod interface and massive power amp. The solid (not veneer) African mahogany is stunning with 7 coats of highly polished polyester resin. All the gauges including the clock are working as new. A beautiful matched set of rare Carello headlamps, NOS factory grills (3) and all emblems and rubber seals. Additionally, every lamp lens is new from Italy. Full and complete correct tool kit with factory handbook, documents, manuals, matching Borrani spare, jack and all correct bags. Eight hides of correct grain Italian leather with wool carpets complete the show quality interior. The car is used sparingly but often, and is maintained very carefully by me. If you are a principal and serious buyer you may contact me and I am happy to show the car to a prospective buyer prior to the end of auction. Please no tire kickers or those wanting a chat. CA title in hand. Please keep in mind that this car is offered for sale elsewhere and may be subject to prior sale ending the auction early. Thank you for viewing my listing and best of luck in your search. Martin Logé cell is 805.895.1226 See a video of this item

About the Maserati Gransport Introduced at the Geneva motor show to considerable critical acclaim, the GranSport was conceived around a new version of the Coupé’s V8 engine, tuned to produce 400 hp. Maximum power delivery had been increased thanks to special developments intended to reduce internal friction, along with work on the intake manifolds and valve seats, together with an electronically controlled pneumatic valve system. A new sports exhaust (instantly recognisable thanks to its twin chrome tailpipes) was designed to provide a deep, full-bodied rumble. The Maserati GranSport was fitted with the Cambiocorsa six-speed electro-hydraulic transmission. In Sport mode the revised software offered 35 per cent quicker gear changes than the Coupé and boasted automatic heel-and-toeing to make changing down a gear even faster. With these improvements, the GranSport could sprint over a kilometre from a standstill in an eye watering 23 seconds flat. The Maserati GranSport had racing in its genes, with technology and experience derived from the Trofeo Maserati championship. The ride height was lowered by 10 mm and the suspension was stiffened. With new Trofeo-style 19" wheels (with spokes designed to evoke the Trident motif) set at a smaller slip angle, the GranSport boasted a lower centre of gravity which turned it into a particularly agile and responsive GT.Externally, a body kit with new bumpers and side sills distinguished it from the Coupé GT, making it more muscular and aerodynamic at the same time. The very pronounced lower spoiler was elegantly integrated into the body itself, while the rear bootlid received a discreet yet efficient spoiler lip. The fruit of much testing in the wind tunnel, the add-ons improved the Cd value and achieved a balanced division of vertical loads (Cz) between front and rear axles. This resulted in an almost total absence of oversteer and improved front-wheel drivability and precision bestowed the GranSport with exceptionally balanced dynamic handling qualities.
