Original owner, 116,500 Miles, 80% original paint, Very rare velour interior (in excellent condition), silver blue in color with dark blue interior, 3.8L 6 cylinder (232), upgraded factory wheels, digital instrument cluster, power trunk pulldown, Alpine am/fm cassette, 6 Disc CD Changer, factory floor mats. Meticulously maintained over the years. Original Owner The only major flaw is that the dashpad has a some cracks in it. It is covered with a small piece of rubber, see the second to last photo. (It's really not all that significant, I just want to point it out)Also, The air suspension system has been removed and replaced with normal shocks and struts. Only 200 examples of this model were produced before production shut down for the war effort at which time no vehicles were built by any US manufacturer for civilian use until the conclusion of WWII. There's not many 1942 models period. This Lincoln is in outstanding condition and shows 19,000 miles which is marked as actual on the title but it's being sold "exempt" due to the cars age. It has been restored to factory specifications which included paint, chrome, upholstery and new correct trunk trim. The interior is trimmed in the correct combination of cloth and genuine leather. The interior hardware is correctly finished in gold plating. Overall a beautiful classic that runs and drives excellent! I have a 1961 Lincoln Continental, all numbers matching, all original, A/C car, with 53k miles and a clear title. Just moved and haven't really had the time to work on it, and you know how cars like this are, you want it to have a good home. However, I have held on to it for 6 years so if the money isn't there, it will go back into storage and I will finish it myself later down the road.Needs:minor body work paintspeedo cable(ordered already)fuel line fixedtank washed out carpet replaced Motor and trans are good, and brakes were just redone.I am pretty firm on the price, and due to rarity and desirability alone, it is worth it. It is the only '61 on eBay when I listed it, and that deserves a moment. For example, today there were (107) 1969 Camaros and (42) 1969 Mustangs are on here, and across all 50 states there is ONE '61 Continental. We are not talking about something obscure like say a Studebaker Hawk (3 listed) or something where you have to explain what it is, this is very well-known, recognized, and sought-after first-year model car. Anyway to the point, original cars of this model go for as much as you want if you find the right buyer, and a good amount even if you don't. In the grand scheme of things, it needs very little to get a nice payout, or just have a nice car that won't lose value. There is a chance I will be working on it as time goes on so the price will go up from here. No surprises, what I said is what it needs.
