This is Bella, she is one of 11,060 Lincoln Continental Coupes made in 1967. She has a rebuilt 462 engine. The C-6 Transmission has ben overhauled, new Dynomax dual exhaust, New inner and outer tie rods and centerline. These are just the major things that I have done over the past 5 years. The car runs and drives Great! she has a straight body and all the trim and moldings are intact. No cracks or chips in the windshield. These are the Few downsides. Number one the dash has ben removed[but is intact}. There is a small rust spot under the driver side door, And a crack in the rear taillight. The paint on the car is finished in gorgeous original color of Huron Blue. After looking the car over we believe this is an original paint car. It was just carefully cut and buffed to a nice shine and shows very well! There are assorted chips on the front of the car from its road-tripping uses. The front and rear cowls show fading from the sun but have not been repainted. These cars are becoming harder and harder to find in their untouched form and we thought best to leave this one as so. This car is a totally solid, rust free car, and obviously never saw snow or salt. The underside of the rockers, quarters, fenders, and floor boards are solid as a rock, and the wheel wells look so clean, just the way a California car should. All correct trim and emblems are present and in great shape. The chrome does show some pitting from its just under 68k miles of use. The vinyl top is in nice shape with no apparent rips or tears. I like the look and think it gives the car a clean, classy look. All of the glass is original and the windshield is crack-free. The car rides on four new 15" Hankook whitewall tires and still retains its correct hubcaps which gives the car a very nice look. The interior is all original and in very good condition. The original leather seats are extremely soft and supple and look like new. Door panels Dash, and carpet are all original and in perfect condition. The odometer currently shows only 67700mi, which is stated to be Actual miles by the Arizona title. The wood inlayed steering wheel is in excellent condition and is usually a good indicator of use and miles driven. The seats are in excellent condition with almost no ware- only some slight creasing on the driver's bolster. Under the hood is spotless and the proper decals look like new. Power windows, locks, seat, antenna, wipers, and defog work correctly. The climate control is working correctly and the A/C blows ICE COLD. Rear quarter windows as well as power seat switch are currently inoperable. The trunk interior is like new condition and has all of the original cardboard and original carpeting which looks very nice. The space saver spare is also still aboard as well as the jack and all original tools. Mechanically, this Lincoln runs GREAT! This car features the 460ci V8. This car always starts right up and shifts so smooth it is difficult to feel the transition between gears. Under the hood is very clean and all original.The car tracks straight and rides and drives just like a new Lincoln should! Offered for sale is my 1948 Lincoln Continental Coupe with 37,800 original miles. The original owner drove the car for 13 years and 27,400 miles, and was then owned by a sequence of 5 car collectors who drove it an additional 10,000 miles. During this period the car was maintained, repaired and upgraded as necessary to offset the aging process. The fifth owner did most of the restoring as necessary as well as replacement of worn parts, overhaul transmission, repaint, re-chrome. The sheet metal and paint are stunning. The upholstery is original and very presentable but not perfect. During this period the car upgraded to a level that it earned many awards including CCCA Senior Badge, Lincoln Continental Club Major National Award Winner, 2014 Arizona Concours de Elegance third place winner. As the sixth owner I continued to make minor upgrades and maintenance as found necessary in driving the car. All of the gages, lights, radio, heater,and windshield wiper work properly, and with the overdrive the car has no trouble keeping up with freeway traffic and does not overheat. We have just replaced the exhaust manifolds which are a common problem on these cars as well as installed all new radiator hoses, belts and motor mounts. Another item that we addressed that is a common issue on these cars is we had the power steering pump rebuilt at a considerable expense. One of the amazing things about this car is the original interior. The interior looks absolutely beautiful with just the right amount of patina. It is really amazing how well the interior has held up after all of these years. Another amazing thing is how nice the chrome and stainless is on the car. While the chrome and stainless is not perfect, it is in great shape for being over 50 years old. This car comes with STACKS of receipts for the car. Second owner kept it in high, dry, cold Gallup for 31 years. It must have been quite an attraction at the dealer who ordered it in July of 1976. This was the first year of the Town Car/Coupe with the Mark style massive vertical grill and this car has new and rare options. Leather in great shape with small amount of usual wear on driver's seat edge. Much trim replaced with n.o.s. by me. Vinyl top in great condition, has two tiny defects near trunk. Absolutely no rust or body damage on car. Mostly original paint. A few weeks ago, this car took 1st place and scored 98.3 points at LCOC Western 2015 and was awarded Lincoln Trophy for best '70-'79 Continental or Versailles. Critiques from judges were the incorrect coolant overflow tank (the tank I have is correct for 1975-76, not 1977 (Only diffence is filler cap, otherwise dimensions the same). Other criticisms were for a nick in the fendertop trim, scratches on bumpers, wear on original driver's seat upholstery. Part of LCOC judging is 45 items of mechanical. Everything works and works well. 98,000 miles on powerful 460- does not use oil. I use Eastwood zddp in oil changes. Also took 2nd place at Huntington Beach Concours this year as well as awards in several other shows. I have driven it several times to Orange County, Phoenix, and San Diego in the past few years. This car turns heads wherever it goes. Car has two very rare (and unpopular) options: The fixed glass moonroof, and the cordovan & white interior. The two-tone cordovan & white interior was available in the Town Coupe only in 1977 and only in leather. Lincoln built 258 with this interior out of about 22,000 Coupes. All the other Town Coupes from 1974-1979 had solid color interiors. 1977 was the last year for this model's exceptional dash with full gauges and the horizontal bar "thermometer" speedometer, a Lincoln tradition since 1966; the more modern temperature controls, auto dimmers, and fancier radios wouldn’t fit in this wide, unique instrument panel. In 1978, the dash became more generic. 1977 was the first year for the flame-cut high gloss woodtone interior trim. Previous years had a flat finish burl. There is a gold mine in parts here. I bought this right after engine rebuilt and put just under 50k miles on it. The engine is excellent, uses no oil and I have changed it since I had it at less than 3k miles every time. It has a relatively new alt. (mileage wise). The front air ride suspension was replaced. ($1800) The rear shocks have been replaced with coil over replacements with less than 500 mi. Also only a few thousand miles (5k maybe) on the brakes all the way around. Body, except for the front end obviously, is in fantastic shape. The back seat and door panels are practically unused. Front has some wear and is a little rough. The bad news, the power steering is out. That is the only reason I'm not driving it. I drove it for months after the accident until that happened. I just don't have the money to fix it. It has a 32 valve engine. And plenty of power with a smooth shifting automatic on the floor console. Leather seats, power moon roof, ice cold A/C. There is still plenty of tread left on the tires. The body of this vehicle is straight and the paint is in excellent condition, with absolutely no signs of prior damage or reconditioning. This vehicle is fully-loaded. This was an extra vehicle for the previous owner and the mileage is consistent with its limited use. All interior components are in good working order. It has a variable ride suspension and variable feel power steering. Has automatic climate control. Heated seats (both seat bottoms and seat backs). Heated mirrors. Has original floor mats. Heat and A/C vents for rear passengers. I am asking $4900. I have priced it close to Kelly Blue Book, with a slight premium to reflect its excellent condition. I would love to keep it, but I have three fairly large kids, who don't fit comfortably in the rear seat - especially on longer trips. Tires are fairly good - have about 50% tread left.
