2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7 in very good condition other than the right head has dropped a valve seat on # 2 cylinder . Rebuilt upgraded heads are aprox. $450.This motor had a early design flaw that affected the #1 and #2 cylinders with a lack of cooling which caused the "loose tolerance" valve seats to fall out.The rebuilt heads available have this problem solved. The Jeep runs enough to drive it onto a flatbed or trailer. The good points are that it has a new power steering pump,new rear brakes with new drums and a brand new fuel pump with less than 1 hour on it.( originally thought fuel pump was bad while my son was in school in Philadelphia but it turned out to be the valve seat).It also has new rear tires. Inspection of # 2 cylinder with a bore scope shows that the piston top and cylinder walls appeared good with some valve seat material sitting on top.The jeep has been in our family for some time and has been great,i have too many things to work on ( Lotus Turbo Esprit,TVR ect...) and just don't have the time to swap the head.The 4 wheel drive works great and my son used this as his daily driver for 6 years with myself doing all of the fluid changes ( Mobil 1) and maintenance.The Jeep is straight as an arrow and never been bent.Some minor rust on the bottom of drivers door. The previous owner were an elderly couple from here on Long Island.I would love for you to come and take a look at it before buying and feel free to contact me with any questions.Anyone with less than 10 feedback please contact me before bidding , the jeep is a great deal @ this price for someone. ebayers for sale is the sharpest looking 2002 jeep liberty ltd on the road. with every option possible this great looking truck has a lot of features . the following are just a few full leather set package factory cloth dashboard guard, front bug guard .alloys new tires 4 months old new brakes 4 months old side step bars,rear steel hitch rear steel bumper guard.air c is ice cold. power steering .power all just a sweet running truck. do to some unknown reason theres a bearing or rod sounding thumping noise .the truck starts and runs .you can go 100 mph but the noise is still there so before you blew something you should fix .for sure its a fixable issue and if your handy its a home run or someone who won't rob you this is a score for anyone .i have a new one so it doesnt pay for me to fix. this truck is the top of the line as a limited model and for sure it sells for over 6000 needing nothing so for what your paying there is no downside, body is just super and inside the same way ..ok good luck to all. note winning bidder must pay in full no later than 3days after sale ends or bid will be void.its ok if you take up to 10 days to pickup along payment has been made, iam using the option of best offer and would like to sell asap good luck to all a great looking truck treated like a baby garaged none smoking
