96 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Exceptional condition 1985 xj6 with only 43K miles owned by a Jaguar Club member. Over $14,200 on maintenance spent over the last 18 months. Exceptional ride and interior. The leather is in great shape and the wood overall for the age is in very good condition with some cracks near the right side air vent. The paint, well it is 31 year old jaguar paint. Overall the paint is ok however the hood will need attention, please see the hood picture. No or very very small visible rust on all four window corners and other locations. The window corners are major rust areas on most cars I drive this car daily in the Atlanta area and it never misses a beat. Totally reliable. I recently drove the car to Sarasota and back - cruised at 80 all the way! Everything works and the car is very smooth and comfortable. I have had GA and FL plates on this car during the last 12 months - same owner saved sales tax. There are a lot of inexpensive jaguars out there that will cost you a lot of money after you buy them so beware when just looking at the purchase price. This car has had extensive work and is ready to be used on a daily basis or repaint the car and you will have an outstanding show car! If you are interested I would be happy to scan and send a copy of the work supporting the $14,200. Remember mechanically very strong, the interior is very good with great leather, however 31 year old jaguar paint. With the exception of the hood the paint looks fine from a few feet away. I have 4 older jags and three other cars and storage is getting very expensive so i am selling the car for that reason only.

This car is a 2ond place winner in the 2015 championship class with most noted flaws (small cosmetic in nature mostly the engine bay) already corrected. Ready to win in 2016. Beautiful color combo with flawless paint and interior! The car as two very small hairline cracks developing on the center ski slope wood, otherwise the wood is like new. I have an extra ski sloop if wanted. The original skip sloop can be repaired "like new" with a color match with the existing wood for a modest sum. I have done this on the other older jags I have owned. Please note the championship class has much more stringent requirements than the driver class most cars are judged by. The championship class judges cars against the condition they were in when the left the showroom. There are plenty of cheap jags out there that will cost you a lot of money sorting the many problems out. Not this XJS, everything works like new and it looks like new. When I purchased this car last March locally in Sarasota it was in exceptional condition owned by an elderly lady living on Longboat Key who put less then 300 miles on the car the last 6 years. I knew the Jaguar mechanic who serviced the car and he told me the car was going on the market. After I purchased the car I had him fully service the car spending about $2,600 mostly on items needing attention from the last several years of limited use. Since March I have driven the car less then 1,000 miles and it sits covered in storage. I have owned 5 XJS's - two V12's and three straight 6's. The 6 cylinders are much better cars and cost significantly less to operate and to service. They also have about the same level of acceleration and power output. I am very annal about my cars both the appearance and operation condition and it will show on this car.I have 4 older jags plus three everyday cars so I need to reduce the number of cars I own. I only have a three car garage and storage is getting expensive. While this is one of my favorites I will sell the car if two others (Series 3 XJ6's) I will be listing soon do not sell.If you have any question let me know. hopefully this car will fine a great home with someone that wants a like new XJS

Fine car. problem free. excellent care full service rec.ords never been hit 115099 mi Very cool AC, very fine ride Premium sound with 6 CD changer, Sunroof. Paint needs compounding as it shows wear on hood and some on roof.New water pump 6-9-15, new tires at 107,797 mi. New spark plugs at 1107715 mi. New brakes at 96,920 mi.Full motor service at 91670 mi.(This is the normal recommended 100,000 mi. service) .Timing chain upgraded at 71510 mi. as recommended.Very reliable, love this car, but time to let it go.
