Beautiful 1976 International Scout! The original owner had this Scout until 2004 in San Diego. It was extremely well cared for and has an extensive paper trail. The second owner was in Florida and it was in his possession until approx 2012. Since, it has been in a couple small collections between Columbia, SC and Charleston, SC. It has a 345 International V8 Engine, 727 Torqueflite Automatic Transmission. The body and frame are in excellent condition overall as you would expect from a California car. It has Power Disc Brakes and Power Steering along with a recent addition of an aftermarket A/C system. Freezing cold A/C and hot heat! This Scout has the rare XLC package which gives it a much higher end upholstery and trim package on the interior than most Scouts. The odometer reads 64,825 miles but I am pretty sure it is actually 164,825 miles. I have extensive ownership records/invoices/bills/notes from the original owner and according to his notes the 345 V8 was rebuilt in 1994 when the truck had 134,xxx miles on it. This truck was treated to a high quality repaint at the expense of it's original owner in 2000. The 17 year old respray still looks fantastic but does have a few scratches/imperfections. That said, the age of the paint is a real testament to the quality of the steel underneath. This Scout is has all of it's original sheet metal and no patch panels to be found. Very Very solid and original. At the time of the repaint the original owner spent approx $4200 having the interior refreshed as well. You will be hard pressed to find another Scout that was taken care of like this one! Ready to drive and enjoy! I HAVE ACCESS TO INCREDIBLE FINANCING OPTIONS FOR THIS SCOUT TO QUALIFIED BORROWERS AT RATES AS LOW AS 1.99%. UP TO 60 MONTHS AND NO DOWN PAYMENT REQUIRED. PLEASE CALL ME AT 843-452-5551 FOR DETAILS. Please call me directly for additional information or to discuss a "buy it now". It is much easier to answer questions on the phone that through messages. I will be happy to take time and answer any and all questions thoroughly. I also welcome pre purchase inspections by 3rd parties if you are considering a purchase site unseen. Meet Brutus! My 1964 International Harvester C1300 1 ton dually 4wd flatbed. The truck was originally custom ordered by the National Park Service in 1964 and later sold to a local volunteer fire deptartment in 1968, they used it as a brush fire truck just like the Park Service. Its the only shorter wheel base version I have been able to locate. There are a handful of the longer ones out there but we have yet to find another one like this one. Its an absolute time capsule and has been perfectly maintained. It absolutely runs like a swiss watch. Below zero or 100 degrees out, get in and pull the factory manual choke and it always fires right up! Its amazing. Its a great example of what being stored inside and being routinely maintenanced for 52 years can do. Its been painted 2 times that I can tell over the years but was done well. It has the 345 V8 in it with a manual trans. 4 spd with a granny low. Its geared exremely low, you can start off in 1st or 2nd gear, and low would probably climb a wall. Thats why I named it Brutus! Its a had a govenor on it since new, which is probably why it still runs like new. It holds it to 45-50mph. Could be removed but I wanted it to stay as it was. I just cruise the back roads with it, take it in parades, or to the dump, so Ive never wished it to go any faster. I left all the original Park Service stickers and instructions on the dash, I think its pretty cool. It does still have a working siren, which is great for making the wife jump out of her shoes....everytime. I purposely have not cleaned or detailed the motor much because it runs so perfect for one thing, but I like the original stickers on the valve covers. Everything works on the truck, all lights, 4wd, winch, the factory choke, air vents, heater, etc... All work. Still has the original IH shocks. Its not a concours show truck but rather an exremely well kept truck that could be shown. It does have signs of use over the years of course but the fire company who had it took a lot of pride in keeping it pristine. Has absolutely ZERO rust. I absolutely love this truck and will most likely regret selling it but we have a few other projects going on and we could use the space and money to continue on...so we have decided to let him go. Please feel free to ask any questions. Im sure Im forgetting things. I will be happy to assist in any shipping but it is the buyers responsibility. Scammers can move along, this thing wont budge until funds have CLEARED my bank. I welcome anyone to come take a look in person. There will be no joy rides without proper funds to make a purchase! A 1,000 deposit is due within 48 hours of purchase.
