FS: 1990 Ford Taurus SHO. The car has 91,736 miles. Color white, black leather interior. Clear Title and Clean Car Fax. I believe I am the third owner. The car is in great running condition. The previous owner had the car undercoated, so no major rust, except for a small spot in the inner rear doorjamb, easily fixed though. Some minor rust under hood, and a few small nicks in original paint. Engine has been cleaned, looks decent. Paint is original. Tint on windows. Front spoiler has a crack. Recent service late 2016 summer included: New Front / Rear Calipers New Front / Rear Rotors New Front / Rear Brake Pads New B&G Lowering Springs New ShoSource.com Stainless Y-Pipe Custom Hi-Flow Exhaust (single muffler, no resonator, or cat) Gabriel Struts all around New Tires on Stock Wheels Spark Plugs & Spark Plug Wires Oil & Fluid Change Comes with 16" Wheels as well from a newer SHO New Kenwood Deck w/Bluetooth The interior is in good condition, no rips, tears etc. New floor mats all around. The shift knob has been replaced (original had tears). The interior sunroof fabric is starting to peel off. (common for age of car). The plastic interior piece near the shifter was painted white by previous owner (can be stripped, etc). Interior Clock does not work. Comes with a new climate control insert, if buyer wants to install. No issue with original though. A/C does not work, did not do any investigation into this. The driver side door key entry pad does not work. The interior sunroof plastic cover around the button needs some replacement screws. The car has some lights “on” the dashboard: ABS light (previous owner used “non-abs,” axles, thus the light. An intermittent Airbag light (common from my understanding). The stereo sounds good. One of the stock JBL rear subwoofers is missing. I have the other one hooked up though. Selling the car “AS IS.” It really drives wonderful. Pick-up only, I can help arrange some type of shipping if needed. I do not have the time to deliver the vehicle myself. This is my personal vehicle that I bought with just over 7K miles on it. The SHO had very minor damage to the right front bumper and right front wheel, with no damage to the hood, front fender, and the front grille was still intact. The slight impact was just enough to set off the driver's airbag and the original owner demanded another new vehicle so the insurance company totaled it. Repair consisted of a new front wheel, right headlight assembly, parking light, front bumper, replace the driver's airbag, and a front end alignment. The only paintwork on the vehicle was repainting the replacement front bumper and a minor touch up on the rear bumper. That's it, no body paint work otherwise. The paint matches perfect. There was absolutely no frame damage. This vehicle should not have been considered salvage. I have a clear rebuilt title in hand. I've been the sole driver of the SHO for the last 20K plus miles and it is an outstanding vehicle. It handles perfectly, has plenty of power, and the electronics and sound system are all great. This is a Texas car that was originally bought in Dallas and now resides in Southeast Texas. I take great pride in keeping all my vehicles in top mechanical condition and keep them washed and waxed regularly. Four new tires have just replaced the original tires on the vehicle. A Ford factory recall on a possible faulty fuel pump control module has been conducted. This vehicle has no issues. This is my 1989 Taurus SHO that was my daily driver for a few years. It wasn't in the best condition when I got it and since I am a mechanic, the interior has taken a beating during my possession. The car runs great and it has all the power you would expect it to have but it does need valve guide seals. I have the seals and a new timing belt that goes with the car. The exhaust is good, tires are so so, rims are aftermarket, and the radiator is about a year and a half old. I put a new heater core in it a few years ago, that was a nightmare. The downside of the car is the transmission is bad because I put a Phantom Grip LSD in it and I ended up shearing and expelling the side gear pins which destroyed the transmission case. The car does have a lightened flywheel in it along with a puck type clutch. There is a hard spot on the flywheel because the clutch was starting to chatter when released. I'm sure everything will be fine if the flywheel and clutch plate are cleaned up. The other big thing bad about the car is the glass is broken on the drivers side due to an argument with a backhoe. The backhoe won. This car could easily be put back on the road with a new trans, battery and some glass for the driver's side of the car. I miss driving the car because it is loads of fun and makes getting around people on the highway easy. My new car is as dull as dishwater so you better buy the Taurus before I decide to sell my Toyota and fix up the ol' SHO.
