This Ford Taurus GL is an excellent buy for someone looking to make a smart decision on a reliable, extremely practical car. Clean both inside and out, this Taurus is fitted with most power and options upgrades- since it's the top of the line GL model. I purchased this vehicle for my son and then he decided he no longer wanted to get a drivers license. Since the car was being purchased for my son I did the research on the car and found it to be a good reliable vehicle for him to drive. It's not uncommon for the Ford Taurus to exceed 300,000 miles. This Taurus has an average of less than 7000 miles a year on it. That is way below the national average. This Ford Taurus GL runs and drives great with no known problems. Replaced the front bumper cover with one from a 1998 Taurus, the original had a cut in it Installed new EGR valve Installed new spark plugs and wires Installed new air filter Did an oil change with new filter Installed new water pump Flushed the radiator and filled with new coolant Installed new hood struts New battery Installed new thermostat Flushed the power steering and replaced with new fluid Original owner had the fuel system flushed at 121,000 miles The interior is in good shape and tires have good tread on them Everything on this Taurus works as it should The Bad: The dash cover above the instrument cluster has separated. I am not that good with glue so I did not want to make it worse The body has a couple of small dents This vehicle has the original stereo so it is AM/FM cassette. However, it sounds great. I purchased this Ford Taurus Wagon from the original owner's daughter. The original owner purchased it new from the dealer and drove it until 2014. He drove it approximately 1500 miles each year. When he passed away I purchased car from his daughter. When I purchased the car there were just over 34,000 miles on it. The back seats had never been sat in and the cup holder had never been opened up. This car is truly a time machine. It is mechanically perfect and the A/C blows ice cold. It does have a few scratches. The original owner took care of this car and I have continued to do the same. Oil changes every 3,000 miles...etc. I have included the Car Fax from when I purchased the car. Also, the pre-purchase inspection I had done when I bought the car. I would not hesitate to drive this car to Nova Scotia tomorrow. The only reason I am selling this amazing car is that I am move to Lake Tahoe and will need a 4WD.

I bought this 1992 Ford Taurus GL Wagon to move with and no longer need it, although strangely enough, it has become my daily driver for the past week. In any event, it served me well and I'm happy to have owned it. Overall it's a pretty clean car inside and out. Doesn't ever appear to have been smoked in. A few rust areas, but nothing too major. Tires and brakes are both in excellent shape. All lights and turn signals work. All the power buttons work except for the rear driver's side window on the driver's panel, the passenger panel window button does work. Here's a video of it started from cold: https://youtu.be/yT79aDaMEK0 Specs: 110,435 miles as of this posting which will go up as it's being driven daily 3.8L V6 Engine with 4-Speed over drive transmission All Power Locks, Windows, Mirrors ALL WORK Cruise Control and Intermittent Wipers Air Conditioning blows cold, Heat is HOT AM/FM with Cassette Tape Player that still works perfectly (No CD) Recent work includes: New Water Pump, Coolant Hose and Fresh Antifreeze Complete Tune-Up that included new plugs, wires, distributor cap and DPFE Sensor New Brake Lines from driver's seat all the way back to both wheels and new brake fluid Regular Oil Changes A/C converted from R12 to 134 Replaced Drive Belt Tensionor With a little care, this vehicle should last a while. Pretty low miles for the year. I prefer a local cash buyer to pick up the vehicle, but will ship if you make all the arrangements. If you're local, you can find it listed on Chicago Craigslist for a bit cheaper along with my phone number. This car is being sold completely AS-IS with NO WARRANTIES.

This car ran beautifully 6 weeks ago and still does. It's been sitting since the rear rusted brake line leaked and still needs replacing. One (1) rear strut needs replacing too. I put new plugs, wires, larger 18 gallon gas tank and front brake line, air filter and oil on this car within last 6 months. I change the oil every 4000 miles and use premium "real" synthetic oil. Car has 204,778 miles which are mostly highway. Tires have plenty of tread left on them. Gas mileage is "GREAT". I averaged 24-1/2 to 25 MPG between highway and city. This shows the care placed on changing oil, filters, plugs and wires regularly. Battery power and battery ALWAYS STRONG even in worst "winter cold" and winter conditions. Always starts. Never carried jumper cables. NOTE: Everything works on this car. Radio, interior lights, exterior lights, trunk lights, cruise control, visor lights, ect. NO ticking or strange sounds from the engine.
