I bought this 08 Ranger in need of a new engine and I decided to just recondition it from front to rear. Not every single thing was replaced/repaired, but you will find it in great condition and ready to be driven anywhere. Here are some of the things taken care of since buying it in 2012 when it had 293K miles. I have receipts for most items replaced, some are low mileage used parts while most are brand new. There are service records for this vehicle that were given to me when I bought it that indicate it was serviced regularly by the 1st owner. The mileage will change as I love driving this truck and intend on using it until sold. Call for exact mileage and place a deposit, it won't move anymore. The windshield had a small crack above the rear view mirror so I had it replaced by Novis glass here in Louisville. Both wiper arms replaced w/blades on the same day. 2.3L DOHC Engine replaced w/engine wiring harness and all sensors/accessories. The starter came w/engine also. (current engine mileage approx 70K) Catalytic converter both O2 sensors replaced with the entire front pipe section, new connecting pipe and Maremont muffler, Borla stainless steel dual exhaust tip. OD Automatic Transmission (current mileage approx 50K) Rear pinion bearings,seals, lubricant. U-Joints, Front & Rear recently replaced Fuel Pump Assy. replaced. ( I still have the original pump, it worked fine, I just figured it had too many miles to be dependable for my purpose.) Front Brakes: New drilled rotors, Ceramic pads. TESTED: Calipers, Master Cylinder & lines w/hoses-no leaks or necessary repairs. Anti-lock braking system functioning properly. Rear Brakes: New brake drums, brake shoes, brake springs & hardware replaced. No leaks, parking brake adjusted & working properly. Shocks: Front & Rear replaced with Monroe Gas-matic Sway-bar link kit: Replaced with Polyuretyane bushings and new hardware. 4 Cragar 15" wheels w/Chrome caps & lugs.All new TPMS sensors/straps installed.4 Goodyear Wrangler tires mounted & balanced. Power window kit - separate lighted window switches on each door. Power door lock kit- works with remote control. Complete Remote Start, Keyless Entry, FM Alarm system that works using 2 way technology. Your remote will tell you if someone is disturbing this vehicle. Remote start works up to 3000 meters away and can be used to warm and cool the vehicle for you. 2 FM remote FOBs included. Back-up sensor kit installed last year. Battery - replaced in 2013 There are a lot of other things I've replaced, fuses/relays/switches that I knew had too may miles to be dependable-I believe you'll enjoy the ride and know it's in great shape after your 1st ride. The rear bumper has a bit of a dent, not too large. This truck can also be used for light towing, wiring is installed and the bumper is pre-drilled. The steering has no play, brakes stop better than OEM, and it accelerates better than most. The suspension is a bit firm, I avoid pot holes and major bumps! No problems with taking this truck anywhere-it's ready to go! No smoking, noises or known problems with any component of the vehicle. Once you drive it, you'll agree that it's one of the best riding and driving 2.3L Rangers on the road. It really handles well, is reasonable on fuel, and can haul small loads with no problem. I'll clean it up, have the tires rotated and a fresh full Synthetic motor oil change w/filter. The air filter is only a few thousand miles old, it's a K&N OEM style, permanent filter, just clean it every 50K miles. QUESTIONS????? Drop me a line.
