Up for sale is my 1989 Ford Mustang GT. ~158k miles on body, ~10k on motor/trans. ~2-3k on suspension/rear end parts. Vortech supercharged. Selling it because the rings in the #7 cylinder (3rd back from front drivers side) are bad, causing the spark plug to foul up almost immediately, and I can't afford to put any more money into it. I had new Cometic head gaskets put on about 1k miles ago after the old ones blew last year, and the shop said there was some rust in the #7 cylinder from water sitting in there from the blown gasket, but that it might last some before a rebuild. So, with my blessing, we put new gaskets on, and it ran great for a little bit, but now it needs to be rebuilt. Will list parts below, basically all the car needs is a new shortblock, or this one rebuilt, and it should run low 11s on drag radials and high 10s on slicks. Car dyno'd at 345whp with an 11.8-12:1 AFR and 15 degrees total timing, and I got it to run 12.3@110 on drag radials with the only decent launch of the night when it was first put together on that tune, so there's a lot more in it. I was just not expecting the rings to go this quick, and I can't put any more money into the car, so it needs to go to a new home instead of sitting in my driveway again for a while. This combo was first in my other Mustang with no Vortech, but unfortunately I wrecked that one, so I acquired this car from a friend which had the Vortech already installed, and I just slid my drivetrain in and did all the suspension work. All work done by Maryland Perfomance Center in Frederick, MD. Tune done by George @ MPC. Car is worth at least $9-10k with a good motor, and it should cost about $3-4k to have a basic shortblock rebuilt and/or installed, so the price reflects that difference. I know what the parts on the car are worth, and what it's worth parted out, so I won't take any lowball offers, sorry. Body/Chassis - '89 GT Hatchback, ~158k on body, ~10k on motor/trans, never wrecked, white/grey interior, surface rust in some small spots but otherwise solid, paint peeling off drivers's door from powerwashing (see pic), paint chips on fenders (see pic), taillight housings cracked in a couple places, ground effects loose under passengers side door (I was gonna leave the body alone and turn it into a stock-looking sleeper), doors sagging in a little bit at front (typical Fox body problem)Front suspension - UPR coilover kit/tubular lower control arms with poly bushings, 12'-200 lb springs, Strange 10-way struts, Maximum Motorsports camber plates, Maximum Motorsports bumpsteer kit, stock brake calipers/lines, EBC Greenstuff pads, SS caliper sleeves, almost-new rotors/bearings (I was going to lower the front an additional 1/2 in, but never got around to it)Rear suspension - BBK upper/lower control arms with poly bushings, H&R Super Sport lowering springs, Strange 10-way shocks, rebuilt drums, UPR torque box kit (full kit, fully welded, torque boxes aren't going anywhere, cost $1k alone to get installed)Rear axle - 8.8, new 3.55 gears, 31-spline rebuilt Explorer diff, 31-spline Ford Racing axles, new bearingsFord Racing aluminum driveshaftSubframe connectorsEnergy Suspension black poly engine/trans mounts17x8/17x9 4-lug Saleen replica SSC wheels (best design for this body in my opinion), McGard lug nuts/wheel locksNew 245/45-17 Nitto NT555 front - 275/40-17 Nitto NT555R Drag Radial rear tires (put these on not even 200 miles ago, old ones were flat-spotted)Interior - stock seats/carpet in good condition, Auto Meter water temp/oil pressure/trans temp gauges in 3-gauge pod, boost/fuel pressure gauges on A-pillar, Raptor shift light, old PLX wideband sensor (most of the LED's don't work so hard to tell what display is, but still functions, came wired into headlight switch), high-beams don't work due to broken connector (should be simple fix), foglight switch wires loose (should work with fix and new foglight bulbs), spare center console included as I'm pretty sure the one in the car currently has some cracks, older Alpine CD player, new heater core/lines with restrictor (did this myself, what a pain but should be good now for years), needs new door lock actuators (old ones already removed)Motor/Trans - Engine - Stock block 302, bored .040 over (308ci total), stock crank/rods, hypereutectic pistons (would replace these in rebuild), stock balancer/flexplate (was going to upgrade with new shortblock), around 9:1 compressionBox-stock Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, 64 CC chambersEdelbrock Performer intake75MM throttle body/EGR spacer, EGR valve deletedCrane Cams 2040 cam (same as Ford Motorsport E-303)Ford Racing 1.6 roller rockersVortech V-1 S-trim supercharger (loud gears) - serial number #35680, custom 7 lb Reichard Racing pulley (CNC'd fresh when this combo first went together to lower the boost), 10 lb Vortech pulley included with carAnderson Power Pipe w/ blow-off valveLightning mass air meter42 lb injectors, 255 lph in-tank pumpA9P/Superchips 5-position switch chip w/custom tuneMSD 6AL w/built-in 2 step, brand new MSD Blaster coil/coil wire (just replaced when car died on me leaving my driveway on Saturday, started right back up with new coil)Custom aluminum valve covers with huge custom A/N vent lines to catch canSummit Racing aluminum radiator, electric fan with controller, 70 amp fuse, Steeda aluminum top radiator mountUnknown 130-amp alternator, upgraded line to batteryNew Interstate battery/cablesEdelbrock Victor aluminum water pumpNew A/C condensor, needs new compressor/lines and A/C would be functional, ASP A/C delete pulley currently onTrans - AOD, rebuilt by Performance Automatic to Super Street specs when combo was first put together ($1300 just for rebuild, will try to find receipt), full manual valve body w/trans brake wired into 2-step (car's old trans had this on it, works great, swapped it over to my PA-rebuilt trans when drivetrain was put in), O/D on switch, PA deep sump aluminum pan, unknown 3500 stall non-lock converter, PI hardened input shaft, B&M Hammer shifter, trans brake/reverse button and O/D switch next to shifter, B&M external trans cooler w/lines straight to transExhaust - BBK 1 5/8 unequal-length shorty headers, MAC 2 1/2 in off-road Power Chamber H-pipe, Spintech Sportsman 2 1/2 in mufflers, new GT tailpipes (sounds like no other Mustang out there) That's all I can think of for now, and I'll update the list if I can think of anything else. I really hate to see the car go, as I've invested an awful lot of time, personal energy/agony, and money into it, but other things in life have taken over, and I'm sure it will make someone else very happy. I will drive the car around a little bit to keep the fluids and tires moving. $500 deposit due within 24 hrs with the remainder due within 72 hrs. Clear title in hand. Buyer is responsible for any shipping, but I will assist with loading the car. Thanks for looking, and please let me know if you have any questions.

I purchased vehicle locally in 1997 with approximately 75,000 miles, I am the second owner. Vehicle was sold new locally as well. Vehicle mileage is predominantly highway travelling back and forth to college during my last two years. This vehicle has been garage kept for at least 16 of the 21 years I have owned it. The images speak for themselves as this car has been taken well care of. Vehicle has never been in a wreck. However, did receive a very minor bump while parked in driveway in 1997. This included minor body work and replacement of right rear taillight. Needs new rear main engine seal. Not an expensive part, mostly labor.Electric Door Locks: Solenoids need replaced. Manual locks at moment.Items that have been replaced over past 10 plus years (Year is Approx) and doesn't include smaller maintenance items such as oil changes, brakes, air filters, belts, fans, etc.:In 1999 air pump was replaced. In 1999 water pump was replaced. In 2000 fuel injectors were replaced (Ford Racing). In 2002 rack and pinion was replaced. Still in excellent working order. In 2002 alternator was replaced. In 2004 new clutch pack was placed in vehicle, included turning down pressure plate. In 2004 entire rear end was rebuilt, included new axles, bearings, and seals. In 2004 heater core was replaced which is typically a $1,000.00 repair bill. Very labor intensive. Air Conditioning: Refrigerant has been replaced with R134A and included replacement of accumulator. 2015 Radiator replaced. 2015 Misc. Throttle body sensors and valve replaced. 2015 New Battery.Vehicle has an aftermarket CD Player (Kenwood).
