Due to a growing family it has come time to let go of my beloved 2005 Mustang GT with super low 57,000 original miles. The car has always been in Las Vegas and has been adult owned and never abused. The body and paint are super clean with no wrecks. The car has always been garage kept and it shows. Washed and waxed by hand and it looks better than most 2 year old cars. All services have been performed regularly and it runs beautifully. It has loaded with many options from the factory. The car just got a brand new battery and slotted and drilled rotors with premium ceramic brake pads. The car drives beautifully with no issues that are known. It is very tight and has never been abused like most Mustangs out there. The only thing that is not working is the parking brake cable just broke which is a common problem and is a very easy fix for under a hundred dollars but I did want to mention it to be up front. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own and drive a real, tangible and gorgeous piece ofAmerican Automotive History and Culture, truly an Icon!Vehicle has had just two owners over the past 50yrs! The 2nd owner chose to have the vehicle completely and METICULOUSLY restored 15yrs ago. Since then the car has seen only a few hundred miles on the road. It has been stored and covered, (it INCLUDES a FULL COVER w/high end duster) in a climate controlled location and/or started and driven once a month. It has been serviced as needed, ie tire pressure, clean/dry fuel, a bulb or two. RAVEN BLACK.....black is the most difficult color to paint an automobile, it shows any flaw in the body underneath, like a mirror. This one is better than factory new in 1966. True automotive journeyman to take on this restore and it shows everywhere! In excess of $100k spent on frame-up complete restoration! 4barrel Holley Carburetor with intake manifold sits on top of a built 289/270+ HP V8 Engine, 4 Speed Automatic Transmission and front disc brakes etc. This vehicle is NOT a factory built GT, but was rebuilt with all genuine Mustang GT parts. The GT Package list below is for ref. from; www.mustang-s.com/years/1966/1966_mustang.htm1966 Mustang GTs were very different from the regular cars. They also had many factory modifications that are hard to duplicate after production. Because different plants produced Mustangs in different ways, not all rules are firm and fast. but there are some of these rules that must be met!The very basic rule is that every GT must be either a "K" code car or an "A" code car built after mid February 1965, no exceptions. The GT must have a dual exhaust system with exhaust trumpeters that exit through a special rear valance with 2 exhaust openings. Because of these exhaust openings, the rear bumper guards were omitted. The bracket bolt holes were sealed with small rubber plugs. To accommodate the dual exhaust, special exhaust hangar reinforcements were used on the rear hangars behind the rear seats.The GT's exterior had a small GT badge on each front fender and GT stripes that ran from the rear of the front wheel well to the front of the rear wheel opening. They did not receive the standard M U S T A N G or M U S T A N G 2 + 2 emblems so there should not be any holes drilled and patched from these. Rocker molding were deleted and not an option. 1966 Mustang GT's received a special GT gas cap.The front of the car received a set of fog lights mounted on horizontal bars. The will be two holes punched in the front of the radiator support for the wires to run through. There will be a fog light circuit breaker and a fog light switch that is mounted inside the car. There are several locations where the switch was mounted so that is not a determining factor. One thing is that whenever the fog lights are turned on, the taillights also come on. After market switches do not have this option.There will be no little "C" side scoop ornamentation on a GT.Mechanically speaking, the GT was built with a 16:1 quick ration steering gearbox. They had a stiffer suspension and heavier (thicker) front sway bar. Gt's received heavy duty shock absorbers. Along with the beefed up suspension, GT's were equipped with a larger single master cylinder, a proportioning valve, disc brakes and a brake pedal that was labeled "Disc Brake".The interior received the standard 5 dial analog instrument cluster and standard glove box door in camera case black. Selling my 720+RWHP 2013 Shelby GT500 equipped with SVT Track pack, SVT Performance Package, and Leather Recaro Seats. Its in great condition overall, with a clean carfax and has mainly been a weekend project car as well as a commuter. I have installed some aftermarket parts, however I still maintain all of the stock parts excluding the factory axel backs. Its roughly $2,000-$2,500 in aftermarket performance parts. The clutch and flywheel were very recently replaced and have only around 5,000 miles on them, which makes them basically new. The car has an estimated 720+RWHP, producing 16lbs of boost opposed to the stock GT500 that produces 580-610RWHP on 14lbs of boost. It sounds absolutely insane, as well as being an insanely quick car. Its constantly turning heads and has people taking videos & photos nonstop. Garage kept & never abused. There one paint chip that is about 1/4 the size of a dime, but other than that there's no issues!
