Legendary 351 cubic-inch Windsor BlueChip Motorcars is pleased to offer a California-built 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback that rolled out of Ford’s San Jose plant during the heyday of muscle cars.It sports the legendary 351 Windsor V8-powered small block as well as the classic Ford 9-inch rear end, which corresponds to the decoded VIN, although it is not the matching 351. It is a classic muscle car in every detail. Best of all it shows only 27,961 miles on the odometer.According to the decoded data from VIN# 9R02H177489, this pony car original came from the Ford factory with a 351 cubic-inch engine. The current period-correct 351 engine was rebuilt in 2009 and it is super tight with plenty of performance. To ensure that electrically it is sound, the A/C blows cold all day long, and that all the gauges and switches function like new again, the car was rewired by the restoration team at Family Service Center in 2015. Other notables include gas shocks, a dual Flowmaster exhaust system, Energy Suspension bushings, and aftermarket front anti-sway bar.In fact, more than $17,000 was invested in the car to ensure that it lives up to its reputation as a high-performance Camaro eater (receipts available). In detail, the A/C evaporator box was replaced, the heater ducts and vacuum climate control system restored. The heater blower motor and resister were also replaced as well as the A/C evaporator coil. Turn signals were restored when the wiring was done and are fully operational. A firewall to headlight harness, taillight harness, engine gauge feed harness and under dash harness are only a few of the upgrades. Lastly, the carburetor was completely overhauled, the accelerator pump, floats, gaskets and seals were replaced. With low miles this quick and agile automatic silver pony car with factory racing stripes, is a powerhouse with no signs of overheating through all kinds of traffic and congestion. Braking performance is good as well, and there are no odd noises at speed, other than the roar of the engine! The paint is like new and buffs out like it just came out of the showroom. The interior is nearly stock, except for the aftermarket front seating. The smaller rear seating is covered in the original black vinyl. All seat belts appear to be factory original. What’s great about the first-generation 1969 Ford Mustang is that it was restyled, setting it apart earlier pony cars thanks to those quad headlights mounted deep into the fenders and the inside ones mounted in the grille area. The cool looking side scoops were mounted higher on the rear fenders in 1969 on Fastback models. The undercarriage is again free from rust or patch panels. The working hood scope retains the Ford factory 351 emblem and all badges are in tact throughout. The chrome or stainless trim is in great shape throughout. This is an arrow straight Fastback that takes you back to a time when life was about big horsepower and racing for pinks. It's definitely a sentimental favorite when it comes to pony cars. 0 0 1 840 4789 Quick Dog Productions 39 11 5618 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE CONTACT: For additional information call BlueChip Motorcars at (949) 496-3000, or directly at (949) 922-1006. About Factory Correct Cars offered by BlueChip Motorcars BlueChip Motorcars periodically offers classic cars that may be listed as Factory Correct, or Numbers Matching. Because there are many opinions about the term(s) used to describe these types of listings, allow us to explain how BlueChip Motorcars comes to that assessment. As you may know, depending on the source, the term “matching numbers, or factory correct,” may mean many things to many people. Purists might define it as a car with every possible window crank, dash knob or even every nut and bolt is original to the car from the time it left the production line. Although some classic cars do exist in that rare condition, most do not. The majority of classic cars on the market were at some point in their ownership, restored or repaired with NOS parts (new old stock) or licensed reproduction parts. Whenever the information is available to us about the use of these parts, BlueChip Motorcars will gladly pass it along to the potential buyer. BlueChip Motorcars uses the term Factory Correct or Numbers Matching only to distinguish a vehicle where the engine casting code corresponds with the VIN and Cowl Tag code. If these codes tell the same story about the car in question, BlueChip Motorcars then considers it to be a Factory Correct or Numbers Matching vehicle. However, unless otherwise stated, the transmission, rear end, and transmission may or may not be original to the car. BlueChip Motorcars welcomes all potential buyers to verify all the information with a qualified expert. We would be happy to email you all the numbers that are obtainable on any vehicle where the term Factory Correct or Matching Numbers is used.
