Up for sale from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This 1965 Ford Hipo 289 K code Mustang Vin #5R09K174889 has a DSO of 75 (Phoenix AZ) built Jan 15th 1965 and color "O" Tropical Turquoise. I believe the car was in Arizona for half it's life then the rest up here in Colorado. As you know both dry climates and that is why the car is in such good condition. The original Hipo 289 which still retains the Hipo K code vin number on the block was rebuilt about 5 years ago. Hipo 289 heads, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds and distributor are still there. Unfortunately the carb was replaced with a later model Holley. Also the transmission has been replace with a later model 4 speed top loader. She still has the Ford 9 inch rear end, big sway bar and disc brakes. And as you can see a previous owner added some GT parts. This is a very clean shell. The original paint is underneath the black primer and the body is in great condition. All original metal except for the hood and both rear lower quarter skirts. There is a little rust the size of a dime in the drivers floor pan and a section in the toe kick area of the passengers side (nothing catastrophic). There is no exhaust past the manifolds so I have only yard driven it. The motor starts right up no noises, leaks or smoke. The two things that I have found to be molested on the car are the radio panel was cut out and a previous owner attached sub frame connectors under the chassis (bolt on). Up for auction from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This Wicked! Pro Street Mustang Fastback vin number 6F09C287205 is built for racing! With a little work it could be legal for the street. First off it has a Crate 4.6 Cobra mod motor, Paxton Novi 2000 Turbo Charger, factory Motorsport computer/ harness/ ignition system. Followed up with custom built headers/ flow master mufflers, high torque starter, aluminum radiator/ inner cooler, motor plate, scatter shield, stall converter and race prepped C-4 transmission. In the back of the car it has a 10 gallon fuel cell, trunk mount battery, two high flow fuel pumps. Underneath there is a shortened Ford 9 inch rear end with 35 spline axles and a un known aluminum center section rear end ratio. 4 link suspension, adjustable coil overs and wheelie bars. The front suspension looks to be Total Control adjustable coil overs mounted to a full length frame and a full cage roll bar. Inside the car is full instrumentation, Kirkey seats, Rjs belts, B&M race shifter and Momo steering wheel. Fiberglass doors and hood round out the exterior with the heavy metal flake paint job. This build has less than 500 miles on it. I would suggest in the excess of 700 Rear Wheel Horse Power. This motor will need to be tuned and dynoed in your area. Do not be FOOLED! this is a radical drag/ street machine and should be owned and operated by a person that has the skill and talent to tame this pony!
