HERE WE GO FOX BODY ENTHUSIASTS!!!!! UP FOR SALE IS A 1987 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE 5.0 5-SPEED. I have owned several Fox Body's over the years and this one is far and away the nicest example of a true "unmolested" mustang I have seen. The 1987 mustang's saw the last major redesign for the Fox Body and included a completely overhauled exterior including a 25hp boost from 1986. The 1987 production numbers were 10,451 compared to 18,174 in 1988. This mustang is 1 of 66 with this paint and trim codes. I am the 3rd owner of this 44,312 Documented original mile car. The 2nd owner purchased this car on 3/17/90 with 13,899 miles (I've kept a copy of the title). He owned the mustang for 25 years, stored in a garage and drove the car to shows, cruises and Sunday strolls. The car was purchased new on 6/13/87 from Landmark Ford in Springfield IL. It has lived its entire life in Hillsboro IL until I bought it and brought it to St Louis, Mo. I have a lot of documentation that is included with the car...receipts, manuals, clean car fax and Marti report etc. ***RARE****THIS VEHICLE IS 1 OF:***RARE*** 6,271 with this Engine/Transmission Codes2,511 with Lower TuTone Paint678 Ordered from this DSO430 with the Paint Codes66 with these Paint/Trim Codes I would grade the car an easy 9 out of 10. Other than a few small blemishes she looks like she rolled off the show room floor. The original Oxford White w/ Titanium paint shows amazing! The Scarlet Red interior shows amazing! The convertible top boot fit is perfect and looks new. The electrical and mechanicals are flawless. EVERYTHING on this car works! Still obtains the original chalk markings on the fan shroud! Highly optioned with power windows, power locks, electric mirrors, power lumbar seats, cruise, tilt, AM/FM cassette, interior map lights, interval wipers, trunk and gas release buttons, fog lamps etc. The R12 A/C blows ice cold, heat works perfect, power top motor works flawlessly. I also purchased a new Cover Craft car cover that is included with the sale. I just had her serviced with fluids changed and serpentine belt replaced because of slight dry rot. I also spent the big bucks on labor and had the heater core replaced because of a small leak. I also just replaced both rear power window motors and passenger side motor because of slow and inconsistent performance. Speaking of tires...those of you who were/are sports car enthusiasts of the 80's...are familiar with the Goodyear Eagle GT VR Gatorbacks. After a "tireless search"...no pun intended! I discovered the Real rubber that needed to be put back on this time capsule! There is a tire company in Camdenton, MO that purchased the molds from Goodyear and is reproducing the "infamous" Gatorbacks. She can now hug the road on cruise night in style and performance! If you want an AMAZING example of the 80's muscle and an investment that you can show and enjoy...this "Stang" is for you!!!!
