This Ford Focus SE Wagon runs and drives great. The engine has a surprising amount of power for its 2.3L size. The car takes off and shifts very well. The A/C blows cold and the remote controlled stereo sounds great. I have invested some money in this car. It has a new IMRC solenoid and actuator (common problem with this car), a new alternator, a new downstream oxygen sensor, and a recently repaired oil pressure sensor leak. The spare tire and jack are in great condition. There are of course a few issues with the paint and some interior blemishes due to age. I purchased the vehicle near Philadelphia almost two years ago and have done a bit of work to the car since I've had it. It has a couple of quirks. The rear brakes squeal when the car is almost stopped - ought to be easily fixed with a set of higher quality brake pads. The third brake light is inoperative - that will need a new tailgate wiring harness to fix. The local repair shop quoted me $450 to have that repaired. I would do it, but I no longer need the car due to a change in my life circumstances. So, in short, a couple of relatively minor fixes should yield you a great, useful car that has lots of life left.
