Hi all, My wife and I have decided to sell our 7.3L diesel truck. It is a 2000 F250 Extended Cab Long Bed XLT Powerstroke with the legendary 7.3L diesel. Full 4 doors, swing open. We had bought this truck to keep as it is such low mileage diesel but we determined we do not need this big of a truck at this time. The truck is in excellent shape, will last someone for many years to come. This truck has a lot of life left in it and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country right now. I have personally seen this 7.3L motor run for 800-900K from trucking companies I used to work for that had these trucks on the road. Little background on the truck- it is a two owner truck and has only been registered in the state of Missouri its whole life. It was owned by the owner of a local plumbing company for years, he used the truck to run to job sites and do estimates not for work. According to what we know the previous owners use the truck for towing rarely. We know that it spent the last few years sitting by his shop and only driven a few times a month as the owner used other trucks for work. We have the complete clear CARFAX on hand which can be sent to the new potential buyer. This truck was registered in the same city since it came off Ford production line. Pretty impressive. At the time of purchase the truck was a little rough on the edges (rust) so we decided to full fix any issues the truck had. We took the truck into a local certified body shop which I personally had work on couple other vehicles with flawless results. Professionally repaired and replaced the rocker panels and the bed on the truck replaced with new. At that time we also took the liberty to put a new bumper on the rear of the truck (paint match) and had the frame fully painted in resto-leum black paint as well as fixing any mechanical work the truck needed. Lastly- added a suspension level lift kit and installed brand new wheels & tires on the truck. As you can see a truck with this mileage on a diesel doesn't have a lot of wear on it yet, we did take the truck into our local diesel mechanic and had a few things repaired that were just maintenance related. Please see full list below on all repaired items that we are aware of. Modifications: (all done within last 30 days) -New rocker panels, painted and replaced correctly. -New Bed- complete with new Herculiner sprayed inside bed. -New rear bumper- 2010 F250 bumper. Painted to match. -New Wheels and tires. -> Ultra 241 Gunner Wheels 20x9 w/ 285/55 r20 Toyo AT Open Country tires- $2500 value -Level lift kit on front -Alignment done -50% windshield window tint- blocks lights from hurting eyes at night and 60% heat reduction. -20% window tint throughout truck. -Installed a new steering pump- old one was making noise. -Installed new front end parts to natural wear- -New Bushings on sway bar -New End Links -New tie Rods -New pitman arm off steering box -New serpentine belt -Serviced all fluids transmission, front and rear differentials checked. Oil replaced and filters replaced about 800 miles ago. Glow plugs checked, relay checked and all fuses checked good. Mechanic fully went in and replaced anything that was preventative maintenance. I'm sure there is more that I am missing, I will add those details as I gather the receipts for the sale of the truck. Truck needs nothing, this motor and truck are BONE stock. No programmers, no add ons. Motor has no modifications and in my own experience that is best way to keep these trucks to prevent future transmission issues. This truck runs very STRONG and shifts firm on point. Motor has little to no blow by and injectors sound great. As stated above I would not hesitate to drive this truck anymore in the country, it is Mr. Reliable. Glow plugs work great, fires up every time. Truck has no emissions or carb chokers to make the truck not run like it should. This diesel is solid, pre DEF and DPF, even pre EGR....none of that. Fill it up with fuel, change the oil and this truck will run forever. Only flaws I can possible think of is the airbag light came on this week on me while driving, did some research and sounds like it is the passenger air bag light off/on light that is bad. Haven't had time to replace that yet, also tear in drivers seat which I haven't had time to repair yet and body is near perfect. Also-the power door locks are weak. I have one new door lock actuator that I can let go with the truck, I had this problem on another old Superduty few years ago and just replaced the power door lock actuators to fix it. Mechanically truck is flawless. No leaks. No problems. The mileage on the truck will go up, I drive roughly 50 miles a day right now to and from work. We have Clean and clear title in my hand ready to be signed over to the new owner. Please let me know if you have any questions, I will pick up the new owner at the local Kansas City 'mci' airport if needed. We prefer wire transfer and not cashier check due to fraudulent activity that is present in todays day and age. Truck is a head turner, gets complement often and people will stop me everywhere to say how much they like the truck or the color, etc. Again-please reach out with any questions on the truck.
