I purchased this truck in September 2014 from the grand-daughter of the original owner. It was her daily driver and it had been in her family since it was new. I've had it in storage since I purchased it. I crank the engine every couple of months. It runs unbelievably smoothly. I don't want to sell it, but I need to pay some bills. I had planned to turn it into a hot rod truck like the F100's that they like to build on the Fast 'N Loud TV show (Gas Monkey Garage). I already have the modern suspension conversion components from a 2003 Crown Victoria that I planned to use on it. If anyone is interested in those parts (independent front suspension with double wishbone control arms, coilover shocks/springs, power steering rack, modern disc brakes, spindles, hubs, brake master cylinder with power booster, and live rear axle with disc brakes), I'll be happy to list them in a separate auction. This truck has a few bumps and bruises from being driven for over forty years, but it can be returned to daily driver status with very little work. Or it would be a good candidate for a hot rod with a bit of paint and body work. A title is not required in my state (Alabama) for vehicles over 35 years. I purchased it with a Bill of Sale only. I am selling it with a Bill of Sale. And if it would be helpful to any buyer to have a current Alabama registration, I'm happy to get one if the buyer pays the registration fees (typically less than $75). Defects described from other section: This is an old truck with plenty of the issues that would be expected from a regularly used, non-restored truck. The miles shown on the odometer surely can't be accurate--I suspect you need to add 100K to what is shown. The transmission shifter linkage on the column is wonky (can be put into gear from under the hood). Significant rust on driver side lower edge of hood and in parts of the bed--solid body otherwise. Minor dents on passenger rear of bed. Crack in windshield. Paint job is poor home-made effort. I was told that the engine was not original. It was replaced with a used one (same type as the original) three years ago. There is no battery in it and the solenoid is broken. I'm happy to crank the engine for any buyer by loaning a battery and bypassing the solenoid. It is technically driveable, but I'd recommend trailering to it's new home.
