This is a 1996 Ford F-250 short wheelbase 4x4 extended cab. The truck has Warn Manual Locker Hubs, 20,000 miles on a new clutch and single mass flywheel, 5 speed Trans, 17" wheels with 33" tires, Gooseneck Hitch, 17" aftermarket wheels with 33 inch tires. Dual electric seats, tilt steering wheel, power locks and windows, extended cab, 60/40 split seats with center fold up console, tan interior. The truck runs and drives great, engines starts quick, glow plugs are good, does not burn oil, leak from differentials or transfer case and the 4x4 works great. The truck gets bout 17-20 MPG with the 4" AFE exhaust, cold air intake, and the manual hubs. The truck never hauled anything heavy other than a small horse trailer or a light load of hay with my grandpa. The Truck was originally bought at Nachitoches Ford in Louisiana and was at 25,000 miles before my grandfather bought it in 1998. After he passed I got the truck in 2008, the truck was in a small accident that bent the front bumper on the driver side and part of the front quarter panel in 2010 and was painted from tan to the red that it is now. The man that painted the truck did a great job on the paint itself but messed up on the clear coat and it is flacking in some spots. it has a couple breaks in the plastic of the instrument panel bezel, a dent in the right side of the cab under the small rear window, a dent in the rear bumper, flacking of the clear coat on parts of the truck. There are holes on each front fender from the F-250 emblems that are not on. Contact for any questions

Up for sale is my tow rig. Sold racing car and dont need the tow rig anymore. Would make a great tow rig or hotshot vehicle. Good mileage, great engine, cold A/C and Hot heat. Its a 1999 Ford F-250 with the 7.3 liter powerstroke diesel and the ZF 6 speed transmission. about 218k miles. As many know, that is just getting started for this engine. Runs strong, no problems with the engine. Cold A/C and hot heat. 2 new tires on the front with less than 5k miles. The rear tires are still good but likely have about 10-20k left before they need replacement. Truck has a trailer brake controller and is wired for a trailer. Truck has a gooseneck hitch installed. Mileage is about 18 in town, and i get about 14mpg highway towing 7k lbs on a two axle open car trailer. Truck has never had a tuner installed on it. This trucks former life was that of a work truck....so don't expect a looker. That said its not a total piece either. In the last four years I've done all the following major maintenance items on the truck, many of which are common issues for ford trucks of this vintage with high mileage: A/C service with new compressor and condenser Shift boots Reverse light switch speed sensor Shocks Front end ball joints front steering linkages new starter two new batteries new battery cables parking brake cable NEW LUK clutch kit. New to me seats in decent shape new vinyl floor radio. The bad: 1. there is a hole in the bed were its rusted through. its about 1 ft. long and a few inches wide. my toolbox sat over it so i never bothered to patch it up. It looks like its from a chemical leak, the rest of the truck is rust free other than some light surface stuff on exposed metal. 2. The 2nd gear synchronizer in the transmission is bad/stuck. This means you have to double clutch (and not granny shift, like you should?) the 1-2 gear change like a big rig or a dump truck. Its been like this since I've owned it and never caused me any problems. To be clear, 2nd gear itself works just fine, you just have to move the shifter to neutral and quickly let the clutch in-and-out before completing the shift to second. I have taken this this thing all over the gulf coast towing and up and back to Tennessee 3 times with no issues over the time I've owned it, and would not hesitate to hop in it and drive it across the country. Mileage will slowly go up as I daily it while fuel is cheap. It is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing early if I find a local buyer. Please let me know if you have any questions not covered in this add.
