Up for sale is my 2002 Ford Explorer XLT. I bought it as a second vehicle to get me around last winter when I wasn't driving my work van. I am buying a pickup truck, so I won't need the Explorer anymore. Here is the pertinent information: -The truck is basically complete and hasn't been fooled around with (no big tires, body lifts, aftermarket stereo, engine modifications, etc) -Everything basically works (engine, transmission, 4wd, steering, brakes, all lights, switches, gauges, stereo, heat, A/C, etc). The engine chatters a little, mostly on start up. The odometer is digital, and is very dim. Tires should last through at least another winter. I put a new battery in the vehicle. -The body is basically straight. The front appears to have been bumped in a parking lot; minor damage (see pictures). The front part of the rear wheel wells and the bottoms of the rocker arms were rusted out (see pictures) where most Explorers rust out. Some of the rust was repaired, and I have a rust repair panel to fix most of what is left. I drove this car through the winter with no problems. It has been sitting in my driveway most of the summer, so I'd like to see it go to a new home before the next winter rolls around! This vehicle is being sold as is-where is with no warranty.
