for sale is my used 2004 ford explorer xlt. Has a clean title with no liens. It has 169,267 miles. Has 4.0 V6 motor. This vehicle needs repair. It needs new timing chains installed which area included along with many other new parts totaling $700. It does start and runs, but should be towed away to avoid any possible damage to motor. As soon as i heard the timing chain clinking I quickly parked the SUV to avoid any damage to the motor. I was quick enough that I never even got a check engine warning light. I just installed a new thermostat and housing and fresh anti freeze. Within past 4 years, has had new brakes, tie rod ends, battery (battery installed 2012 is a 6 year battery), alternator and wheel bearings. Below is a list of the good, the bad and all the parts included. If the timing chains are replaced, will make someone a nice vehicle. I had planned to fix it myself and do a full service on it, but no longer have the time needed. I don't really need the vehicle anymore, so just decided to sell it. Comes with everything part wise needed to do the repair. Just needs someone to provide the labor and the tools needed. If you have any questions please ask before purchased. sold as is. No delivery. What about the vehicle’s history report? Sellers/Buyers often use these services to check a vehicle’s background. Carfax and Autocheck are wonderful services, but they have their limitations. Many times they will show more “owners” than we may state a vehicle has had. This is because they are services for information only. They have never seen the car, owned the car, and have no other information about the car than what is reported from different agencies. All of this information is originally hand entered into their databases at their source and mistakes and inconsistencies will occur. Also they often contain mileage errors and inconsistencies that appear to make little sense. Just like any computer generated information report you need to know how to read the report & when to read between the lines. Can you explain your as-is / warranty policy? All cars are used machines and used machines need general repairs on a regular basis many times without prior warning. This is especially true for name brand highline & exotic vehicles that have more elaborate features and systems. Also repairs are more common on say a 10 year old model car as opposed to a 2 or 3 year old model car since they cost significantly less than a newer car. Obviously the older the car the more possible this is of happening. So this is why seller highly recommends again that you purchase this warranty for your own peace of mind and general satisfaction. Can I purchase a long term extended warranty? Most vehicles qualify for a 2 or 3 or 4 year extended warranty plan depending on mileage and age of the vehicle. There are several different plans available for most vehicles. Some vehicles may not qualify for extended warranties. Exotic vehicles, High performance luxury vehicles, antique vehicles, or certain high mileage vehicles may not qualify for a warranty plan. No matter how comprehensive any warranty is it does not cover routine service or maintenance. Nor does any warranty cover every item on the vehicle. It is merely an insurance policy offered to offset the cost of more significant expenses. Can I see or inspect the vehicle in person? Prospective bidders are always welcome view, or arrange onsite inspections of the vehicle they are interested in BEFORE the close of the auction. Seller recommends that buyer have a third party inspection if buyer is unable to inspect vehicle in person before the close of auction. Once the auction has ended the vehicle is now considered sold and Seller does not permit any post sales inspections at that point. A typical experience is 7-14 days from the date the vehicle is picked up from our facility until it is delivered to your destination. Verify with the "Carrier" for an Estimated Time of Arrival to be sure.Refund Policy: To qualify for a refund the vehicle has to have been shipped to you. If you purchase a vehicle in person here on our lot we assume you are satisfied upon your inspection and this purchase does not qualify under the policy. Any vehicle that is shipped to a customer qualifies. Upon receipt of vehicle the customer has 24 hours to inspect vehicle and notify us via an Ebay message that they would like to return the vehicle. We require proof of the date of delivery such as a receipt from a shipping company documenting the delivery. The vehicle's mileage cannot be more that 50 miles more than the mileage of the vehicle when it leaves our dealership. The customer is required to return the vehicle to us in the condition that it left from us within 15 days of the notification of return. The Buyer must also complete an Ebay cancellation on the sale. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping on the vehicle both ways. We will ONLY REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE. The refund will be processed within 5 days of receipt of vehicle back to us.
