Needs a new master cylinder, tune-up parts, and some miscellaneous small attention to be on the road again. Original color, original paint except for hood, no rust presenting anywhere except blisters under the vinyl top. An incredible Hemi Ford with smooth power and a great torque curve; one of Ford's best engines ever. Very straight body, Laser Red Metallic paint has some fade but still looks great, as you can see. This particular truck represents Ford's top-of-the-line offering in 1978; the Ranger XLT trim package includes the bright polished side trim, rear tail lamp and tailgate trim, bright drip rail moldings, chrome front bumper, two-tone paint scheme, and special badging. Inside, it includes wood grained dash and door panel trim upgrades, full carpet, and fancy seat trim. Other top options include the powerful 460 V8 engine, C6 automatic transmission, full power steering (not power assist as in earlier years), and power disc brakes. Driving this truck is an absolute pleasure; everything works, it drives straight down the road, turns precisely and easily, and stops as though new. The interior is all original with the exception of the radio (upgraded and working), and the added Indian Blanket seat cover. The original seat does have wear in the driver's side area, as does the carpet. The original headliner has shrunken a bit, as they all do. Dash is perfect with no cracks, door panels are excellent, and the overall interior impression is one of clean, well-cared-for quality. The heater and defrost work very well, all the gauges work, all the lights, signals, etc. work. Even the horn works. While not a flawless show truck, this is a very good-looking mild custom that you could get in and drive every day. And to anyone your driving by 10' away, it does look like a show truck. Very good-looking, clean, and unique while not being over the top. Custom bodywork includes rear tail light and bumper elimination, rear roll pan with custom tail lights, and a 1979 rectangular-headlamp grille and surround. The paint is a two-stage metallic Copper; it still looks great from 10-15' away; clear coat has begun to fail in some areas on the flat surfaces, and the clear has been touched up. The pictures of the truck were taken from 10-15' away, so you can get a genuine feel for how it looks. The outer body is very straight, with only minor dings, scratches, etc. The interior features newer carpet and headliner, nicely painted dash to match the exterior, a nostalgia Hot Rod steering wheel, good contemporary stereo, and full gauges. Again, not flawless, but good-looking and clean. The truck features new wheels in a custom black metallic finish, and big BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires; 295/50-15's out back *(their largest!), and 235's up front. 1996 Ford Taurus with clean title and low miles for it's age. Whoever owned this car last was not kind to it cosmetically. However, after dumping $2000 worth of work into it, it seems pretty reliable for the time being. The Reasons It Is Cheap:Body and paint are old and beat up.Previous owner smoked in the car however we did not and it has aired out quite a bit.it will eventually need new tires and rack/pinion. because of this you need to keep an eye on the power steering fluid, if it gets low it becomes stiff-ish while steering (think ... learning how to drive on old cars/trucks before power steering was a thing). My S.O. is a pretty strong dude so it never really bothered him, plus if you keep the fluids topped off it doesnt have that problem. Just had the head gaskets fixed. Not sure about anything else as I am not a mechanic. Both my S.O. and I got our parent's old cars as gifts recently so we are selling the Taurus because we no longer need it. We live in apartments otherwise I would just garage it as a "just in case" car. It is old and beat up, but it Runs and drives well for being a beater car... We used it as a daily driver before being replaced.

You are bidding on a daily-driver reliable 1977 Ford F-150 Custom half-ton short bed 4x4 pickup truck equipped with Ford's bulletproof 300 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder engine and four-speed manual transmission. The truck runs beautifully, drives out straight, and has great brakes. Nothing funny or in the least concerning about its' mechanical condition; get in and go. It is well sorted out mechanically and inspires confidence when driven. Factory dual fuel tanks have been used regularly since new, and are in proper working order. It has a small 4" Rancho suspension lift kit (blocks rear, springs front) and matching Rancho shocks, as well as dual steering stabilizers. The lift puts it about where it would be if it were a factory Hi Boy, so it looks right. 4-wheel drive transfer case works exactly as it should. The paint is original, with touch-ups here and there, and a repainted hood (close match but not exact). No structural rust at all, no rust at all in the bed, and only minor rust in the door corners and rear quarters as shown. Some, but in the right spots for an easy fix, or just leave it... small stuff. The interior is original and in good condition. Gauges work, lights, turn signals, wipers, etc. work. Good exhaust with no leaks. Good 31" tires on factory steel wheels with hard-to-find original 4x4 hub caps. A very good-looking, solid, and sound truck. The short bed 4x4's are getting tough to find, especially with the fantastic 300-6 engine.
