Check out this original and correct 1963 Ford Thunderbird 2 door Landau Hardtop. It has the rebuilt original 300HP, 390 cubic inch Z-Code engine with a Date Casting Code of December 11, 1962 and original 4-bbl Holley C3AF -BV carburetor. It has a rebuilt 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission with the original 3.0 axle ratio. The car was assembled in January, 1963 at the Wixom, Michigan Ford plant. The correct E-Code Acapulco Blue Metallic appears to be on the car. The entire braking system has been rebuilt and it has new dual exhaust. It is equipped with power seats, power windows, power locks, power brakes and power steering with swing-away feature. The white vinyl Landau top is in excellent condition. Everything works in this car including the gauges, factory A/C, original AM/FM radio and Rotunda Tach. The interior has been reupholstered with very nice cloth blue seats, with matching carpet and headliner. Everything inside is in excellent condition. The chrome bumpers have been re-chromed and displays a beautiful shine. The paint is in fair condition but still has a decent shine on the hood and trunk. The tires are almost new and the wheels with the spinner hubcaps are in good condition. The previous owner took extra caution to replace and install parts that are factory correct. The odometer shows 66,118 but we are not able to verify accuracy. This car is made to drive. Switch on the cold A/C, turn on the radio to your favorite station and sit back and enjoy the ride! Up for sale is our 41 Ford "Super Deluxe". I bought this car for my wife and now it seems to be jet boat time, go figure. This makes a really great car, one that has only been available a few times since it was built available once again. This car is a wonderful driver, really, it operates and drives like a modern car but has the look and feel of those great 40's Fords. The car is set up as a mild hot rod, it is all steel and all Ford. This is a professionally built car, quick and reliable, a true Saturday night cruiser that usually rides with the trophy in the back seat, no kidding, the car has trophied, and I mean really trophied (best Ford, Best Hot Rod, etc..) every time out but once, (I have an excuse for that one,if you buy the car I'll tell you about it.) We have very good documentation all the way back to it's rebirth in 1993, it has a little over 40 thousand miles on the build, (yes you actually can drive it anywhere). The car has no rust and I cannot find any Bondo, truly exceptional car, one of the very last civilian production cars to roll of the line before the war. This is a classic tastefully finished automobile, for a car you actually can drive, it's as good as it get's. Some of the cars features are: >All Ford drive-line, mild but strong 302, C4 transmission, Ford 9 inch rear, rock solid components in good shape, trans has a programmable shift kit installed.>The preferred Mustang II front suspension including disc brakes, rack and pinion steering modern geometry and sway bars, handles like a Mustang.>Superbly prepared dead straight all metal original body.>Beautiful base coat clear coat paint, a fine job of block sanding, slick as glass, done in Chrysler "Black Cherry", paint codes come with the car. >Hand drawn, old school pin striping, signed by the artist, truly beautiful classic work. Very hard to find these old school pinstripe guys today, only at the big shows.>Excellent chrome, and stainless trim, original "Super Deluxe" package, complete, straight and polished, no pitting at all.>Very fine detail work all over the car, contrasting logos, polished bits, blue dot, led taillights, just dozens of amazing details, check photos closely.>Modern professionally done electrics, no surprises, hit the starter, go for a ride, period.>Modern AC and heating system, beautiful installed,(see the pics).>Modern, powerful stereo system with hidden multi CD changer.>Modern dash and instruments beautifully finished in a classic look, everything works.>Modern Tilt steering, with locking steering wheel.>Excellent,I mean excellent, upholstery, car was built buy a great craftsman who actually owns an upholstery shop. Trunk finished out to match the car.>Very well detailed engine bay including matching air cleaner assembly, power steering cover, and master cylinder,you can open the hood with pride.>Matching power convertible top in mint condition, (we rarely have it up, but it does look nice and the car cruises very quietly with it up.>Two inch duels with just the right sound, not to quiet, not to loud.>Power windows, power steering, power brakes.>New Tires.>Fresh tune up, needs nothing, drive the car home.>Matching custom made "California" car cover. The Flaws >Some light gravel pitting on he lower front valance as a result of street driving. Nothing bad, but there. Can bee easily fixed without painting the whole car.>The mags have some pitting on them.>The power drives on the small vent widows need repair. All info for parts is included, we just never used them, main windows are fine.>The AC needs to be serviced. We think, we always had the top down.>There is a small oil leak at the engine drain plug, new washer at the next oil change should fix it, again very small.>There is a minor flaw where a convertible top cover snap was moved. That's about it, this car would cost four times what the reserve is to build today, it cost three times the reserve twenty years ago. It has led a treasured life, never seen snow, only rain while hurrying home, has always lived in the south in climate control garages.
