I deal in older cars and truck and recently sold a 1947 ford pickup where the buyer traded in this Ford SUV.This SUV is a real nice truck. It has all the bells and whistles. Leather seats, all power, front and rear a/c that i s blowing ice cold air. The engine is 5.4 with an automatic transmission 4x4 and all wheel drive AWD. The inside and outside is very nice with no rot or rust. The running board are sturdy and strong. No give when you stand on the to get into the vehicle. It has a towing package. Tires, brakes are all good. It has recent inspection sticker. I have no reason to believe this truck will not pass Massachusetts strict inspections. If it fails to pass? Selling my Ford bucket truck for $2875.00 or best offer. Everything on the bucket works. It goes in and out, up and down, and swings from side to side. No issues at all with the hydraulics. All works good. The truck engine is a 460 and runs goods with low miles. The transmission is auto matic and shift great. The issues with this truck are the drivers side rocker panel and the outer floor pan. Other then that this truck is ready to work. I bought it to do repair work around my house. Such as cutting branches from trees, painting the upper story and trim work. Installing gutters all around the house. It was perfect for that. Never measured the length of the boom extended but you can get an idea from the pictures that were taken today just before I listed this truck. It's not a new truck and will need some tlc but where can you find a bucket truck for this kind of money? And oh the bucket itself is connected to the hydraulics so it moves and tilts with a switch. This truck runs and drives. Engine and transmission are both in good shape. The exhaust is a bit loud but runs very well. The truck had been sitting for a while so the brakes are kind of funky. By that I mean when you press on them to stop. The truck stops on a dime but the pedal does not come back to the top on it's own. The the brakes stay on. You need to pull the pedal up with you foot and proceed. It's a lot easier then it sounds but that it the issue with the brakes. No problem stopping at all and the brake pedal is right on top. The engine starts right up but will need a solenoid. It is the part on the firewall that controls the starter. We sometime have to jump it with a screw driver. But it always starts up. Tires are ok and the inside needs a cleaning. This was a work truck. Not sure how fasr the boom goes out. But it works in all direction. Up-down, in-ou, and side to side. No issues with that at all.It is electric over hydraulic and operated by several batteries in the upper compartment separate from the truck battery. There are dual controls. One set in the bucket and an override set in the rear right compartment. (see pics). There seems to be an power inverter located somewhere in the truck because of an electrical outlet in the rear compartment as well. This truck is set up to do whatever anyone would need a bucket truck to do. Plan on doing some work getting it ready for service but the price right. I did drive it home about 25 miles or so with no issues at all. I have this truck on my front lawn with a for sale sign on it. If I seel it here before the auction ends I will need to cancel this auction early. Many time people will be watching an item I have up for sale then it will be taken down. I get all kind of emails such as: "what happen to you auction?" "Why did you end it early" Well the answer is simple. I sold it. So if you want it? Selling my truck and looking to buy an older dodge 5.9 cumins pickup. If you got one let me know. Anyway here it is. The 6 cylinder engine and automatic transmission are in great shape on this truck. Mostly solid except for what you see in the pictures and that in no way hinders the operation of this truck. It takes me anywhere I need to go and back without any issues at all. I like the flareside bed. It gives this truck a special appearance. All drive line is in great shape. Exhaust a bit loud and patch a few spots on the body and you got a real nice truck for the money. You can drive this truck home. It runs that well. The fuel gauge sometimes doesn't work but I think that is a bad ground. Sometimes it works and others it just point to full. Turn the key push the button and your off!!! I'm selling this truck locally as well. So if it sells off the front yard first I'll need to end this auction. Be the first to bid and you own it.
