Before you pick up the phone and call us we know they didn't make a '34 Mercury Pick Up. However, if they did we sure hope it would have looked like this. The truck we have started it's life as a 34 Ford then Ricky Bobby Rod Shop turned into this sweet ride. This car took the Good Guys Builder Choice award and is an absolute head turner. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Mercury, but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. They started with a 34 Ford Cab that was chopped 4". The frame, Hood and Side Panels are made from flat stock that was worked and rolled to fit. The side panels had custom inserts to fit around the engine. For the bed they started with a repop bed that was shortened and has a custom Mercury Tail Gate. Everything is painted in the Rich Navy Blue that has a deep rich shine and is slick to the touch. To keep with the old school look the wheels up front are 16x4 from a 40 Ford and the rears are 18x7 custom Circle Racing Wheels with Merc Hub Caps. Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '34. The inside is done in Tan Leather with a bench seat. All the metal dash is painted body color to create the perfect flow from the exterior to the interior. It has a 40 Ford Insturment panels and steering column with a 15" 40 Ford Wheel. The pedals are by Kugel. This truck also has the tilt out front windshield. Finally, we will take a look at the drivetrain of the Mercury. Under the custom hood is a '51 Merc Flat Head V8. It has Eddie Meyer Heads and Intake with Stromberg 97 Carbs. The trans is a 3 Speed with Over Drive. The frame is from a 34 Ford that was sectioned 2 " it was also boxed form the firewall back. Under the front is a So Cal 4" Drop Axle with 37 Ford Spindles and wish bone. Under the back is a 39 Zepher Rear Wish Bone. When you look under this truck it's every bit as clean as the top. This is a true one of a kind ride that as we mentioned has Won at Major Shows like Good Guys. But more than just to look at it she was built to drive. ”Barn Find” 1979 FORD F100 RANGER XLT 460 cid 4 bl Automatic Transmission C6 Very Desirable Short Bed Model, and it’s a beast powerwise! Has factory AC that needs servicing. Power Steering Power Brakes Ready for easy Restore – no major dents! Nicely redone seat. Drives great! This truck belonged to a widow that only used it occssionaly to haul her mower. It sat in her backyard for a long time. I had to pressure wash the truck to get the layers of dirt off of her. She starts on first crank!Only easily sanded surface rust and peeling paint. I actually spot sanded under one piece of trim, just to see how bad the rust was and it did sanded right off. There's an odd small gouge in hood, like someone stabbed thr truck. Some of the molding on the passenger side (the small lower trim) would need replacing. Personally, If I were going to keep the truck, I remove most, if not all of the trim for a clean look. Small rust through on RR fender lip. I actually did a section of the rust on a fender and it sanded right off. Some folks want that!?!?! They call it patina! Restored, these trucks are going for over $20,000. This is a truck that will continue to go up in value. Many collectors think that the 67-73 Ford trucks are the best Ford ever made. New Price Here is a handicap lift van for sale. 2004 Ford SD, E350, Diesel 6.0 liter Engine. Would make a nice camper, bug out or use for transport. The interior is in excellent shape. The seats are in good shape except the drivers seat has some tares. This is a very smooth comfortable driving vehicle. The body has some surface rust on the lift door and minor dings and dents but not excessive for the year. The tires have some mile left on them. There starter was replaced with new and the 2 batteries are new. I replaced the front rotors and brake pads when I bought it. I drove it down from Long Island, NY with absolutely no issues. Currently the turbo has failed, (a $1,500 fix). There is a little welding needing on the exhaust where part was removed to accommodate a tow hitch, (never installed). The engine starts every time and runs strong but can't go much faster than 30 MPH due to the turbo not working. The list price is for the van as is, where is. (would have to tow or have it fixed here and drive a way). I can have the turbo replaced and have it running at top speed for an extra $1,500. I'm asking $3,979.99 as is or $5,450 with new turbo installed.
