This was Chevy's second year for the Impala. They made a bold statement with the body that was wider, longer, had a new roof line, and featured the iconic big fins. Not to mention these rides have a lot of stainless along with a large back glass and windshield. The one we have for you has been custom built and features a lot of upgrades. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Everything is covered in the Tuxedo Black Base/Clear Coat that has a deep rich shine and is slick to the touch. Down the sides the panels all look straight with good fit. With a car of this size it's a must to have a good body to make black work. When you look at the stainless down the sides it all lines up good and is in nice shape. The grill and headlight doors as well as the tail light bezels all look good. Also, the windshield and back glass looks to be factory with the side glass appearing to have been changed to a light tint. The seals around the glass all look good as well as the rest of the weather stripping. When you look at the chrome its all good with the bumpers being replaced when the car was built. The final exterior touch is the set of Billet Specialties with 20" up front and 22" in the rear. Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '59. On the inside it's done in Tan Leather with Tan Tweed inserts. The door panels are custom with the same tan leather and tweed scheme. All the roof stainless looks good as well as the trim on the dash. When you look at the dash it looks stock with only the addition of the Air Ride Controls. They hid the A/C controls inside the ash tray to keep it clean. The dash is painted black that matches the exterior and creates the perfect flow form exterior to interior. Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it has had the firewall slick and painted black as well as the inner fenders. This Impala is powered by a 348 V8 that has the Three Deuces Set up. The engine is painted black that makes the Aluminum Billet Brackets, Vintage A/C Compressor, and the Aluminum Radiator pop. Also, you will see it has a Chrome Power Booster and Master Cylinder for the Four Wheel Drilled and Slotted Disc Brakes. The Trans is a Turbo with the stock rear end. This '59 rides on Air with bags on all 4 corners. When you look under this Chevy the floors all look solid and are in good shape as well as the frame. When you walk around it there's no denying the quality at which it was restored. The body was stripped to metal for the resto then primed and blocked before the panels were installed to ensure a good fit. This car is straight as an arrow and is laid out in Tuxedo Black paint that is accented by the White SS Stripes that are under the clear. The paint has a deep rich shine that flows beautifully into the jams and trunk. This '69 has the 2" Steel Cowl Hood along with front and rear spoilers. All the stainless looks like new as does the chrome. When the glass was reinstalled all new seals and window felt was used. They also installed new weather stripping to ensure good tight fit of the doors and trunk. The final exterior touch is the set of 18" and 20" Chrome Coys with new tires. Next, we will take a look at the interior of the '69. On the inside it's all done in Black to complement the exterior scheme. The interior was definitely not forgotten in this quality restoration as you can tell from the pictures. It has bucket seats and console that's fitted with an upgraded set of gauges from Classic Industries. The seats were left without the headrest to give it a sportier look. When you look at the dash you will see it has the matching upgraded Classic Industries Speedo and Tach Gauges. The column was also upgraded to Tilt with a Billet Wheel. The A/C controls are in the factory location and the radio has been upgraded to the Vintage AM-FM. Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's powered by an Aluminum LS1 that's mated to a Tremec Six Speed Trans and 12 Bolt Rear End. The sound is provided through a set of stainless headers and Flow Master Duals. To keep it cool it's fitted with an Aluminum Radiator that has Dual Electric Fans. The air has been upgraded to Vintage system with A/C that has a great fit, and it also comes with Power Steering. Under the front of this Camaro it has a new sub frame with Tubular Control Arms top and bottom with new springs and 2" drop spindles. The brakes are Power with Four Wheel Discs that have Drilled and Slotted Rotors. When you look at the floors they are new and slick with new bushings on the sub-frame. They started with a 34 Ford Cab that was chopped 4". The frame, Hood and Side Panels are made from flat stock that was worked and rolled to fit. The side panels had custom inserts to fit around the engine. For the bed they started with a repop bed that was shortened and has a custom Mercury Tail Gate. Everything is painted in the Rich Navy Blue that has a deep rich shine and is slick to the touch. All the metal dash is painted body color to create the perfect flow from the exterior to the interior. It has a 40 Ford Insturment panels and steering column with a 15" 40 Ford Wheel. The pedals are by Kugel. This truck also has the tilt out front windshield. Finally, we will take a look at the drivetrain of the Mercury. Under the custom hood is a '51 Merc Flat Head V8. It has Eddie Meyer Heads and Intake with Stromberg 97 Carbs. The trans is a 3 Speed with Over Drive. The frame is from a 34 Ford that was sectioned 2 " it was also boxed form the firewall back. Under the front is a So Cal 4" Drop Axle with 37 Ford Spindles and wish bone. Under the back is a 39 Zepher Rear Wish Bone. When you look under this truck it's every bit as clean as the top.
