This full size 1996 Bronco XLT Sport 4x4 was built during the last year of production for the Bronco. This vehicle is RARE in that it has the 5.8 liter engine, and the heavy duty ZF manual transmission! The rest of the upgrades / modifications completed in the past couple years are listed below: Transmission / Unique Automotive: For those that still love a manual transmission.Replaced the stock transmission from the Automatic E40D to a Manual ZF-5 /42. Both mate up exactly to the 5.8 L Windsor Engine. I wanted a vehicle that was reliable, whether I was on the highway, getting around in the winter weather, or doing some trail riding. This Bronco is very dependable and in fantastic shape. That being said, it is 20 years old, and I have done little besides touch-up paint to correct minor cosmetic or natural wear issues on the vehicle. Residuals from the switch to the manual tranny include a cruise control that does not work, and the oil pressure gauge flutters a little at idle. The ash tray sliding mechanism does not work; I leave it in the closed position (this would be a good location for a C.B. Radio). Everything else in the vehicle is in excellent working order.
