Interior Seat is a narrowed Suburban bench seat. It’s easily removed to access the AC, heater and air compressor under the seat. The interior is made from hand laced leather. The cab smells great. The dash bar and steering wheel are wrapped in leather also. The back walls are made from plywood and painted with brown outdoor case iron furniture paint. The ceiling is made from lattice boards with antiqued brass screws. The overhead hand braided leather pull is to activate the dual air horns. The dome light is a vintage motorcycle turn signal. The gauges include engine water temp, oil pressure, amps, fuel level. The dash bezel has been modified to accept two gauges. The original fuel gauge and speedometer are working but disconnected. The engine runs great, the brakes are good for a Model A, I think the car drives good, I just put 4 new Firestone tires on, Its just a nice Model A with a cured restoration. HISTORY: I bought the car from a guy a couple of town from me. He moved here from the Bakersfield, California area. He had a friend that owned the Model A that lived near him in California. When the friend got so old that he didn't drive the car anymore the guy that lives here bought it. He was going to make a Street Rod out of it, but decided it would be a shame to destore a nice car. He bought it here earlier this year. Lots of pictures below, just scroll down to see them all. TITLE: The title is Tennessee and says previous state of registration California. MILES: 69598 reading, but who really knows. WHO RESTORED THE CAR? I am a restorer, but did not restore this one. It was restored by someone in California. I am retired, but buy cars for resell, I do polish them, repair and inspect things. HOW IS THE ENGINE? I think it runs good, it starts good and has no rattles or knocks other than normal Model A noises. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its good, Model A Ford transmission did not have synconized first gear and the other gears don't have good ones. This transmission good, its just the way they were built. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? Good for Model A, they are manual brakes. The parking brake works. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I think it drives good for a 1930 Model A, they are not power steering.. HOW IS THE PAINT? It has a real good shine, I buffed it with a polish cleaner and it looks new, but its not. It does have several touched up chips. No dings or dents. HOW IS THE TOP? It real good, one conere is up a little. HOW IS THE RUNNING BOARDS? The rubber is good. CAR IS THE ORIGINAL 6 VOLTS, it has a new battery, new cutout relay and new amp meter. HOW IS THE GLASS? It is real good, no cracks, no milky places, the windshield is clear. From one angle my pictures make the glass look cloudy, it is not, its water spots on the glass, look at other pictures. REAR GLASS is the optioned roll down type. It does have some fuzz from the upholstery at the edge, I will trim it off. WINDSHIELD: Its folds out, I guess thats you air condisioning. HOW IS THE CHROME? Its all nice. HOW ARE THE TIRES? At a cost of $800 I just put 4 new Firestone wide whites on. I put new tubes and rim liners on. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Good, the worst thing I see is a punched hole above the drivers head. DOES THE CAR LEAK? Model A Fords did not have rear main oil seals, people didnot worry about a drop on the dirt floor. WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! LIGHTS were missing some 6 volt bulbs, so I have them ordered. Headlights, tail lights, cowl lights and brake lights will work when you buy the car. The optional instrument light works. The horn is not working, I will check it out. They usually just have dirty brushes. I will fix it if I can without buying a new horn. CONSIDERATION I have for sale a good looking 1939 Model A Coupe with rumble seat. The engine runs great, the brakes are good for a Model A, I think the car drives good, I just put 4 new Firestone tires on, Its just a nice Model A with a cured restoration. HISTORY: I bought the car from a guy a couple of town from me. He moved here from the Bakersfield, California area. He had a friend that owned the Model A that lived near him in California. When the friend got so old that he didn't drive the car anymore the guy that lives here bought it. He was going to make a Street Rod out of it, but decided it would be a shame to destore a nice car. He bought it here earlier this year. Lots of pictures below, just scroll down to see them all. TITLE: The title is Tennessee and says previous state of registration California. MILES: 69598 reading, but who really knows. WHO RESTORED THE CAR? I am a restorer, but did not restore this one. It was restored by someone in California. I am retired, but buy cars for resell, I do polish them, repair and inspect things. HOW IS THE ENGINE? I think it runs good, it starts good and has no rattles or knocks other than normal Model A noises. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its good, Model A Ford transmission did not have synconized first gear and the other gears don't have good ones. This transmission good, its just the way they were built. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? Good for Model A, they are manual brakes. The parking brake works. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I think it drives good for a 1930 Model A, they are not power steering.. HOW IS THE PAINT? It has a real good shine, I buffed it with a polish cleaner and it looks new, but its not. It does have several touched up chips. No dings or dents. HOW IS THE TOP? It real good, one conere is up a little. HOW IS THE RUNNING BOARDS? The rubber is good. CAR IS THE ORIGINAL 6 VOLTS, it has a new battery, new cutout relay and new amp meter. HOW IS THE GLASS? It is real good, no cracks, no milky places, the windshield is clear. From one angle my pictures make the glass look cloudy, it is not, its water spots on the glass, look at other pictures. REAR GLASS is the optioned roll down type. It does have some fuzz from the upholstery at the edge, I will trim it off. WINDSHIELD: Its folds out, I guess thats you air condisioning. HOW IS THE CHROME? Its all nice. HOW ARE THE TIRES? At a cost of $800 I just put 4 new Firestone wide whites on. I put new tubes and rim liners on. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Good, the worst thing I see is a punched hole above the drivers head. DOES THE CAR LEAK? Model A Fords did not have rear main oil seals, people didnot worry about a drop on the dirt floor. WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! LIGHTS were missing some 6 volt bulbs, so I have them ordered. Headlights, tail lights, cowl lights and brake lights will work when you buy the car. The optional instrument light works. The horn is not working, I will check it out. They usually just have dirty brushes. I will fix it if I can without buying a new horn. This type of vehicle was built in the day by after market companies. They were used as a haulers, some people called them depot hacks. This car is all steel and has a amateur restoration. We bought it from a older man from Florence, Alabama. The story was that his friend that he went to church with got bad sick and the Model A was not drivin for a long time. He bought it just to help him out and did not even try to start it. The registration of title is Alabama. We drained the gas, cleaned the carburater, cleaned the points and started the car. It had a hairline crack in the intake manifold so we welded it. I drove the car to the gas station about 1/2 mile and back. It has all the gears and shifts fine. The steering is very loose, I checked it and the steering gear is worn out, parts are easy to buy to fix it. The brakes work, Model A brakes are manual, no juice, so they are hard to push. The paint does look good in the pictures, but it is weak. The old man painted over scratches and pits. The body looks all steel to me and seems solid to look at the under side. The top is in very good condition, tires usable, but old. The wood looks real good to me, but could use a coat of varnish. Original bumpers are in the back. The one on front is not original. The front seats are not original, they look like Camaro. Bottom line, this is just a good looking, but ruff Model A that is priced that way. It runs and drives, but needs things. sale a 1930 Ford Model A Woodie Hack. This type of vehicle was built in the day by after market companies. They were used as a haulers, some people called them depot hacks. This car is all steel and has a amateur restoration. We bought it from a older man from Florence, Alabama. The story was that his friend that he went to church with got bad sick and the Model A was not drivin for a long time. He bought it just to help him out and did not even try to start it. The registration of title is Alabama. We drained the gas, cleaned the carburater, cleaned the points and started the car. It had a hairline crack in the intake manifold so we welded it. I drove the car to the gas station about 1/2 mile and back. It has all the gears and shifts fine. The steering is very loose, I checked it and the steering gear is worn out, parts are easy to buy to fix it. The brakes work, Model A brakes are manual, no juice, so they are hard to push. The paint does look good in the pictures, but it is weak. The old man painted over scratches and pits. The body looks all steel to me and seems solid to look at the under side. The top is in very good condition, tires usable, but old. The wood looks real good to me, but could use a coat of varnish. Original bumpers are in the back. The one on front is not original. The front seats are not original, they look like Camaro. Bottom line, this is just a good looking, but ruff Model A that is priced that way. It runs and drives, but needs things. I consider this a driver quality paint job, by that I think it looks great, but its not perfect. The paint still shines good, I see no dents and no dings. I see several touched up chips and little defects. I see some minor checking on top of the front fenders, checking is very minor hair line cracks. The paint looks good, but it a older paint job and not that perfect roll out of the trailer show queen. CHROME: Bumpers look good, radiator shell shines like new with some very tiny pits, headlight housing are dull. TOP: No holes and the fit is fine, it has been on for a long time and has some minor stains and a couple of nicks, look at the pictures. INTERIOR: I consider it good, its just old. The steering wheel has no cracks and the floor mat good, the seat cover is good. GLASS: Clear with no cracks. ENGINE: I was told it had a fresh rebuild, but I have no documentation. I did not clean it, it looks like it just came out of the box. It runs good with no knocks or rattles other than the normal Model A noises. TRANSMISSION: 3 spedd manual that shifts good. DOES THE CAR LEAK? I have never owned a Model A that does not leave drops on the floor. They do not have a rear main seal, the floors were dirt back in the day, so a few drops was not worried about. TIRES: The 4 on the ground look good with no age cracks that I see. HORN WORKS! HEADLIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! The car came from Georgia, the land of peachs, pecans and peanuts. It is a old restoration, but still looks good if you don't look with a critical eye. The 4 cyclinder flat head engine runs sweet, the 3 speed manual transmission shifts normal, the gauges work, the horn works, the brakes have been converted to hydralic, the car drives like a 1930 model car, the interior is leather and decent (its getting slick), the chrome is good, the glass is good, the white side wall tire are worn, but usable. VIN: 168636 MILES: 22305 reading and I guess you can add a lot more. HISTORY: I bought the car from a young man that lives in Winder, Georgia. Winder is about 40 miles from Atlanta toward South Carolina. He bought the car from a nearby old man with a 30 car collection, reason he sold was that he was too old to drive and enjoy his cars. The reason the guy I bought from sold was that he was a younger man and wanted to spend the money on his home, "he said he loved the car, but needed the money". TITLE: The title in Georgia is a little different. The Georgia title number is 991066143049066. The document might look different than your state, but it is legal and works. I do not have a car lot, but I am a Tennessee licensed car dealer just to keep things legal. HOW DOES THE CAR RUN? I think it runs good, the four cylinder flat head engine starts good and runs good for 1930 techology. HOW DOES THE CAR STOP? Its stops better than most Model A Fords. It has been converted to hydraulic brake, they originally came with manual brakes with lots of linkages. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I thin it drives OK for a 1930 Model Car. It does have some play in the steering. It will wonder on the road at higher speeds. HOW FAST WILL THE CAR GO? I don't drive most Model A Fords faster than 40 MPH. They wonder on the road and don't stop real good. Remember, these cars were made to drive on gravel roads at low speed. HOW IS THE PAINT? It is old, it looks good at a 20 feet, but has lots of checks, nicks and scratches. HOW IS THE CHROME? The chrome looks good, I see no rust and it still shines good. HOW IS THE GLASS? It is clear with no cracks and no milky places. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? The leather seats have no holes and no bad worn places, but look very slick from age. The headliner is good, but a little druppy, door panels about like the seats, instrument bezel dull. HOW IS THE WOOD IN THE CAR? The wood on the sides that affect the doors seems good and firm, the top wood may be soft in some places. HOW IS THE TOP? Old and worn, I don't thing it has any leaks. TIRES AND WHEELS? Usable tires with some wear, but older, they are not smooth like todays tires. The rims are the factory 18 inch. DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The head lights work, tail lights work and turn signals work, but have been added (no turn signals in 1930). HORN WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WHAT DID I DO TO THE CAR? Fixed some lights, cleaned it, put new plugs in the engine, cleaned the fuel system, fixed one of the window shades. WHY DID I BUY THE CAR? I liked it and thought it was a good buy. I'm a 68 year old retired auto mechanics instructor and love to play with the old cars. I bought to to resell. WARNING!!!!!!!!!! This is a real good looking Model A, it is no new perfect car, its a old restoration. If you want a fun car and can put up with some things that are not perfect it may be for you. If you want a perfect car this is not for you. The car is priced very good for the condition. It will make a lot of people happy just the way it is. Its a car that you can drive and have a lot of fun with without spending a lot of money. Its drivable just the way it is, its just a good looking old car, its not a perfect as the pictures show. CONSIDERATION a good looking 1930 Model A 4 door sedan. The car came from Georgia, the land of peachs, pecans and peanuts. It is a old restoration, but still looks good if you don't look with a critical eye. The 4 cyclinder flat head engine runs sweet, the 3 speed manual transmission shifts normal, the gauges work, the horn works, the brakes have been converted to hydralic, the car drives like a 1930 model car, the interior is leather and decent (its getting slick), the chrome is good, the glass is good, the white side wall tire are worn, but usable. VIN: 168636 MILES: 22305 reading and I guess you can add a lot more. HISTORY: I bought the car from a young man that lives in Winder, Georgia. Winder is about 40 miles from Atlanta toward South Carolina. He bought the car from a nearby old man with a 30 car collection, reason he sold was that he was too old to drive and enjoy his cars. The reason the guy I bought from sold was that he was a younger man and wanted to spend the money on his home, "he said he loved the car, but needed the money". TITLE: The title in Georgia is a little different. The Georgia title number is 991066143049066. The document might look different than your state, but it is legal and works. I do not have a car lot, but I am a Tennessee licensed car dealer just to keep things legal. HOW DOES THE CAR RUN? I think it runs good, the four cylinder flat head engine starts good and runs good for 1930 techology. HOW DOES THE CAR STOP? Its stops better than most Model A Fords. It has been converted to hydraulic brake, they originally came with manual brakes with lots of linkages. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I thin it drives OK for a 1930 Model Car. It does have some play in the steering. It will wonder on the road at higher speeds. HOW FAST WILL THE CAR GO? I don't drive most Model A Fords faster than 40 MPH. They wonder on the road and don't stop real good. Remember, these cars were made to drive on gravel roads at low speed. HOW IS THE PAINT? It is old, it looks good at a 20 feet, but has lots of checks, nicks and scratches. HOW IS THE CHROME? The chrome looks good, I see no rust and it still shines good. HOW IS THE GLASS? It is clear with no cracks and no milky places. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? The leather seats have no holes and no bad worn places, but look very slick from age. The headliner is good, but a little druppy, door panels about like the seats, instrument bezel dull. HOW IS THE WOOD IN THE CAR? The wood on the sides that affect the doors seems good and firm, the top wood may be soft in some places. HOW IS THE TOP? Old and worn, I don't thing it has any leaks. TIRES AND WHEELS? Usable tires with some wear, but older, they are not smooth like todays tires. The rims are the factory 18 inch. DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The head lights work, tail lights work and turn signals work, but have been added (no turn signals in 1930). HORN WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WHAT DID I DO TO THE CAR? Fixed some lights, cleaned it, put new plugs in the engine, cleaned the fuel system, fixed one of the window shades. WHY DID I BUY THE CAR? I liked it and thought it was a good buy. This is a real good looking Model A, it is no new perfect car, its a old restoration. If you want a fun car and can put up with some things that are not perfect it may be for you.
