Who knows, it could very well be someone's dream car! This Ferrari was purchased by the current owner in 1988 with only 11k miles on it. This is by far the most well documented 308 you will find within the market place. It has been meticulously maintained by the same professional hands since 1988. The recommended 30k mile service was performed on the Ferrari at 21k miles and then again at 29.5k miles. Over 18k has been spent on the Ferrari just within the last five years. There are two extremely reputable outfits who have maintained this vehicle over the course of his twenty seven year ownership. Autodino & Bob Hindson Racing. The current owner is an avid car guy who is not only thorough but he is someone who has a very deep love and admiration for all collector cars. This Ferrari has been the corner stone of his collection for quite some time and I can tell you that no expense has ever been spared during the course of his ownership. Every bit of work that has ever been done to this vehicle, was done by professional hands. This car has never seen rain nor snow. It has been kept indoors in a climate controlled garage for the past twenty eight years. The V8 breathes deeply out a set of dual tip, dual exhaust outlets. The synchromesh, 5-speed manual transmission shifts fine going through the 5-speed gated shifter in the center console. The car stops easily with 4-wheel power disc brakes. There%26#8243; also power steering and air conditioning. The original and sought after Campagnolo wheels are in excellent condition and really set off the car. This rarely seen 1986 Ferrari Mondial has benefitted from an %26#8220;engine out%26#8221; restoration and it shows! The Mondial is a 2+2 coupe that was produced from 1980-1993. It replaced the 208/308 GT4.The Mondial was conceived as a %26#8220;useable%26#8221; model, offering the practicality of four seats and the performance of a Ferrari. The car had a slighter higher roofline than its stablemates, with a single long door on either side, offering easy access and good interior space, reasonable rear legroom, while all-round visibility was excellent. It also holds the distinction of being the only production automobile that has 4 seats, is mid-engined and be a full convertible in automotive history!The Rosso Corsa paint on the car is in fantastic condition and shows only minor imperfections. Both front and rear bumpers look great with no dings or scratches showing to either. The black convertible top is in wonderful condition with no major signs of wear, tear or staining. All the glass is free of nicks and scratches.Inside, the interior shows beautifully. The upholstery was restored, treated and dyed according to the former owner and it really looks great! The saddle leather seats show only very minor wear to the seats. The carpet and door panels are in comparable condition. The carpet is protected by a set of Ferrari floormats. The dash is solid with no warping, staining or splits. All of the original gauges are functional and look great. There is also a Nakamichi AM/FM/CD stereo installed.Under the rear bonnet sits the 3.2L Quattrovalvole 8 cylinder engine. %26#8220;Quattrovalvole%26#8221; roughly translates to 4 valves; which is in correlation per cylinder. As mentioned previously, the former owner states that the car benefitted from an engine out restoration but we do not have any receipts or documents to verify this. Further, he stated that he had a new water pump, new rear shocked replaced and the clutch is said to also be new. We have not found any problems with this awesome Ferrari and believe the prior owners statements to be true but not documented as the receipts had been misplaced or lost. Mated to the engine is a gated 5-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with power 4-wheel disc brakes and air conditioning. The Mondial sits upon a set of 16%26#8221; Ferrari wheels wrapped in 205/55R16 tires in the front and 225/55R16 tires in the rear.The car comes with the original Ferrari Owner%26#8243; Manual.
