The body styling was revised from the outgoing Ferrari 360, to improve its aerodynamic efficiency. A great deal of Ferrari heritage was also included in the exterior design. At the rear of the car, the Ferrari Enzo's tail lights and interior vents were added. The car's F430 name was etched into the Testarossa-styled driver's side mirror. The large oval openings in the front bumper are reminiscent of Ferrari racing models from the 60s, specifically the 156 "sharknose" Formula One car and 250 TR61 Le Mans cars of Phil Hill. Equipped with a 4.3L V-8 engine that produces 490 bhp, this new power plant was a significant departure for Ferrari, as all previous Ferrari V8's were descendants of the Dino racing program of the 1950s. The connecting rods, pistons and crankshaft were all entirely new, while the four-valve cylinder head, valves and intake trumpets were copied directly from Formula 1 engines. With a top speed in excess of 196 mph, it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds. This California car is finished in desirable Nero black exterior over black Daytona style leather seats. A major engine out service was completed in November of 2015 and new tires were also installed in January of 2016. The full exterior of the car is wrapped in XPEL Stealth paint protective film with a satin finish which gives it a matte black appearance. The protective film prevents prevent rock chips, road debris abrasions, and paint damage from bug acids. It also enables you to easily wash and dry your car without fear of damaging the finish of the paint. With a clean CarFax vehicle history report it is also accompanied by full owner’s manuals, complete tool kit, car cover, and service records. This 2008 example is equipped with a racing-derived F1 sequential paddle-shift six-speed gearbox. The F1-style steering wheel is truly the control center of the car, with five different control, stability and traction modes at the driver’s fingertips, allowing the car to adapt to virtually all road conditions. For full driver input, the system can also be completely disabled. Starting in 2008, all models came standard with carbon ceramic brakes. Factory upgrades on this car include Rosso Scuderia brake calipers, Daytona style seats, electrically operated seats, Scuderia Ferrari shields, upholstered top, leather rear shelf/door mouldings, and a Bose high power sound system. Not too long after the original owner took delivery of the car back in March of 2008, it underwent aerodynamic and performance upgrades from Novitec Rosso, a world renowned tuner of Ferrari vehicles. The aerodynamics package was wind tunnel tested at the Research Institute for Motor Vehicles in Stuttgart, Germany. The tests were performed by a simulated velocity of 140 km/h. The front spoiler brings the front axle to 15.2 kg down force and the drag coefficient is reduced to 0.37. The complete aerodynamic package, including front bumper, rear diffuser, side skirts and rear wing, optimizes the vehicle to 8.1 kg negative lift at the front axle and 35.3 kg at the rear axle. Congrats on choosing an F430! It’s basically the most reliable exotic car on the market and I speak from experience! It's a beautiful car, it’s a fun car to drive, it’s reliable and it’s affordable and will turn heads EVERYWHERE you go! Most of all its FAST and sounds amazing, not to mention actually gets GREAT gas mileage. Color combo is gorgeous and VERY RARE, High Gloss Black with Red leather interior! But before you shop for the "best deal", let me educate you on the model so you know what to look for... Don’t trust that people have done repairs unless they can show you a receipt and at what miles they did it at!!! Just saying it has a new clutch, may not mean it does... 1. You will need a CLUTCH for any pre-owned F1! This car was designed with the Ferrari F1 paddle shift manual transmission. It is fun to drive and was built to be driven in "manual", however many people drive in "auto mode" which will wear a clutch faster. A new clutch job will cost you $8,000 and last you about 5+ years or more. Mine has a brand new clutch and throw out bearing and I just had the computers kiss point re-adjusted recently $350. 2. The F1 clutch relay will cause issues as it heats. A new relay does not solve this. I have the upgraded relay already installed with NO shift errors!! This is a $500 job. 3. You will need an F1 pump and this is a $3,500 job. Mine is brand new and is the Recambi upgraded model. 4. You will need both front and rear, both left and right O2 Sensors replaced. This car has FOUR of them. Mine are new! 5. HEAT and AC! This is a big one. Many control modules get shorted out. Mine was replaced and ALL heat and AC works perfect, blows ice cold. 6. Among all this. I have new tires and new brakes. This car NEEDS NOTHING! 7. Paint, body and leather... When buying any used car. It can be sad to have to live with swirl marks, scratches, dents, chips, door dings and worn dirty leather. Makes buying a new car feel like not such a new car for you... Well many used cars are just washed before you buy. Mine has been BEYOND well taken care of. Let me explain. 1st, I am a fanatic about black cars. I have 5 black cars. I have color sanded and buffed this car twice. Once right when I bought it to give it that perfect shine and, once again about a year ago. There is NOT a single door ding nor dent. There are NO swirl marks. This paint looks like a glass mirror and I just had a $500 detail done to sell the car in amazing condition. Now let’s talk about the leather. Most light colored leather on a used car is pretty worn out and dirty. When I bought this car I had ALL leather steam cleaned and conditioned to look BRAND NEW. I then had my detailer care for it with PH balanced products and after the $500 detail I just had done, they shampooed the leather, carpets and treated it all. You will get in and think that no one has ever been inside this car. As it still looks like new! In fact, the entire car is covered with a car cover and in my garage and after spending $500 on a detail, I won’t be driving it so it will be perfectly clean for the buyer. 8. Amenities. Of course all luxury cars come with all the bells and whistles. Mine has a few options you will not see many others have. First it does have the front touch screen stereo with DVD, MP3 and Bluetooth for hands free speaker phone and music from your phone to the stereo. It also has a Back-up Camera! To look factory, the stereos touch-screen wallpaper has been changed to a Ferrari logo as well! In the rear are TWO MBQUART amps custom installed with black suede to cover all wires. Each light up red to match the interior and have chrome Ferrari emblems on them. Between them is the factory red leather subwoofer enclosure with new FOCAL subwoofers installed and in each door panel are new MBQUART separates to give this Ferrari an amazing sound to the stereo over the cheap paper speakers Ferrari includes. This was a $10,000 install. I also installed the full Ferrari factory Carbon Fiber dash and center console kit $8,000. I have had custom made (by the same company that makes the mats for Rolls Royce) two black sheep skin floor mats that are thick and luxuriously soft. These were $800 alone!!! Last, I installed the Novotec smoked light set with all four rear taillights, center brake light and side markers for $8,000! On top of all that I have black and chrome with red lip GnG 20" rims in front and 22” rims in back all with brand new tires ($8,000 set) that make this car look amazing. That is over $35,000 in add-ons! Now, please DONT BUY FROM A STEALERSHIP. They have NO past knowledge of the car they are selling you. You will NEVER know who owned it and how well they took care of it. Dealers basically pick up a car at an auction, an auction dumps any trade-in that an owner could not sell themselves or drove into the ground. They detail it and mark it up $10-20k to you… You will be buying a mystery that can be an expensive mistake. Now if a cash buy is not in your budget, even though I am not a dealer, I do have many finance and lease companies I can refer you to, just like any dealer would to get you financed. I even know of one with 2% interest and $0 down. Lastly, I will not take fake checks, checks from other countries with promise to have shipper pick up, I will not take PayPal or a credit card. I know all the scams and won’t fall for them. This car comes with no factory warranty. I have many references. I am a business owner in California for 20+ years and am a public figure.
