Beautiful 1975 Ferrari Fly Yellow Dino 308GT4 Great condition. a nice #2 car. Body and paint and interior easily a 9/10. Oil changed (Castrol GTX 20W50) and transaxle (Redline) on 9/15/15. Interior leather soft and pliable, all gauges work, radio and antenna operational, A/C intact and functional but does need a recharge, Original steering wheel and Momo smaller diameter wheel included. All books, tools, spare included. This car was on my bucket list and was I looking for one in yellow as red was too common for me! Lovingly cared for over the years, last major service was at Ferrari Motorcars of Georgia including Timing belt and tensioner bearings and AC schrader valves. Ferrari of Atlanta at 43997 miles was new rear view mirror, brake fluid change, new distributor seals and gaskets, new coolant hoses and clamps, window regulators, rear sway bar bushings, new front crankshaft seal, 4 wheel alignment and high speed balance, new lifter motor. total bill for all $5800. I have reciepts for all of this. From 2006 to 2009 was celebrity owned and maintained by in-house mechanic then I purchased car in 2009 from California and had it shipped to NJ and have stored it ever since. It Runs great but is a bit cold-blooded, revs freely and sounds fantastic like only 4 carb Ferrari's can. Underside of car is as nice as the top, only some scratches on the lowermost area of the front belly pan from speed bumps. All original wheels perfect with nearly new Pirelli tires. I have included 2 short videos of it starting and idling. Only 1000 miles on car since 2006. Time this great car goes to a new owner. I have been watching the market for months and I truly believe this is one of the nicest ones that have been for sale anywhere. Clear NJ title in my name. 1979 Ferrari 308GTB Carbureted Nero/Red Leather Vin # 30025 Mileage: 35,354 at time of listing (still driving the car) 3 Owner Car (I am the 3rd owner) This car was bought from its second owner who had it for over 22 years. It was stored in a dry environment for that time, and was only driven a few thousand miles during his ownership. The vehicle includes all tools, jack, emergency light and books that came with the vehicle. I also have the original 14” Capagnolo Wheels with Michelin XWX Tires (set of 5). The 16” Wheels (set of 4, 7” in the front and 8” in the rear) in the photos were put on the vehicle for my personal driving and will be included in the sale. They were purchased new in June of 2014 with brand new Continental Extreme Contact Tires. Since my ownership and after the work had been done that is described below, it has been driven on weekends and to shows, and is one of the nicest running carbureted 308’s that I have encountered. The transmission shifts perfectly and sounds great. It currently has an Ansa Exhaust and the US Smog Air Pump has been removed. I do have the factory exhaust and air pump which are included with the car. Everything works on the car and it is a true pleasure to drive. When I bought the vehicle it had been driven only small amounts periodically, cared for and was completely intact. It clearly needed to be gone over mechanically, and in need of a few items cosmetically. I am not representing this car as a restored vehicle, but as an extremely nice vehicle with fresh mechanicals and improvements on the cosmetics. The paint was in very good condition, the car was repainted the original color the first year the previous owner had it, so the paint is 22 years old, and with several attempts at wet sanding and polishing, we came up with an extremely nice result that you see currently on the car. There are no checks or crow’s feet in the paint, it is very shiny and looks very good from all angles. 3 weeks ago, the car won a Platinum Award with the car at the Regional Ferrari Club Fall Festival in Florham Park, NJ and the car was judged by a current 308 owner. It also won a 3rd place award for the Concours DE ‘Elegance at Ramapo College earlier this summer. The photographer who took the pictures of the vehicle, and is very familiar with Ferrari’s, was very impressed with the vehicle when he was photographing it. If I were to pick on any items with the car, they would be: The red carpets are all original. They show very little wear, but do have a nice patina to them.The paint is 22 years old, but shines very nicely, but not represented as perfect.Very small screw hole on the panel in front of the fuse block down on the lower left side.Chrome around the climate control slides is a bit wavy. There are several other small ancillary items that were done on the car, but below is the list of the major items done on the vehicle: 4-12-14: Fresh major engine service with timing belt, other belts, water pump, tensioners and gaskets, filters (air (K&N)and oil)4-12-14: New Koni Shocks and shock bushings installed on all 4 corners4-12-14: New Power Window Motors and Switches installed4-29-14: Door Panels and Seats dye stripped and refinished in original color.
