For those of you who remember when you got your car fueled up the attendant that ran out to fill your car up? He let me in the garage when I got to high school and did engine work, brakes, welding and just about everything else but where I really excelled is when he started selling cars, I enjoyed helping customers find the car or truck or there dreams. I started my own lot in 1979 and built it up to the size of any new car dealership with 50 employees, 12 shop bays and well over 100 trucks on the lot, we sold that property and dealership back in 2006 and today nearing 60 years old I am semi retired and opened a small hobby lot located in Carlisle PA. I still have the passion for diesel trucks in which I'm an expert (by the way anyone who does anything successful for 35 years is an expert in my opinion), and I also have the passion just as I did at 18 to help people find the truck of there dreams. I know these old cummins diesel/and 7.3's trucks inside and out and I personally drive one and love these trucks emmensley. What I hate the older ones here in the northeast since they just melt away from all the rust and bondo they are loaded up with so I fly out west to Southern California,Texas, and other west coast and southern states to buy a few clean rustfree 1 owners and drive them home to sell in the northeast. How about a Dodge Ram 2500 SLT 4WD CREW Longbed with the HO cummins 5.9 turbo disel engine and a 5600 NV 6 speed sticK tranny and 373 rears? Dealer maintained this truck for owner since new, the engine fires right up no smoke no blow by no leaks, rotella oil every 6K, trans shifts perfect, drives nice and tight. In the past 3 months I owned it I had the tranny rebuilt with all new syncs and new organic OEM clutch disc/set, 6 new bosche injectors, and a brand new turbo back aluminized 4 inch exhaust. These items have the balance of the year warranty included by me, I also had a new track bar bushings, brakes rotors and alignment done. I personally drove this over 800 miles delivering a car trailer I sold and she performed absautly perfect with near 19 mpg's highway. She also has beautiful cosmetics, original looking paint is nice and clean with good clear coats, real straight no rust, good frame. Interior very nice with all the buttons working and a non smoker no stains or smells at all! Cosmetically the cab and frame is in good shape very solid, the bed is junk has rust on the sides and pleany of dents, but it is usable tailgate works hauls cargo and tows fine. I have used beds available for $600-1500 extra cost, would make a good candidate for a steel flatbed or utility truck... Mecahnically pretty good. Engine fires up good, no check lights, or misfire. Good batteries, good brakes and exhaust. Trans shifts great good solid clutch and 4x4 does work good. Front end it tight, good track bar and ball joints, rubber not too bad either, I ersonally drove this truck 300 miles in from trade in, I don't think you will have any problem driving it home, really hits the road good. She got the cummins 5.9 HO turbo diesel engine a 6 speed stick tranny 373 rears and all the options, very well maintained western 1 owner from Colorado, new PA state insp with good brakes, tight front end, no leaks, no smoke just pure cummins power, no chips or programmers, she is bone stock. Body is very clean with glossey paint very nice bumpers, has bed liner. Cold air and all interior toys working good, rubber is decent but will need a set next year. That back seat is like a limo, in 10 years tis is only the second mega I have ever seen in a stick, I have it priced to sell my buy it now is the bottom serious buyers get on it she will not last. Mechanically just perfect, had brand new bosche factory injectors at 200K also a recent clutch, has good rubber, I did front end work (very tight down the interstate) and fresh filters and fluids, she fires right up on 3 turns, no blow by no leaks ice cold a/c needs nothing. Interior non smoker no cracks, rips, stains or smells. Cosmetically the exterior is 100% rutfree with nice clean original looking paint in glossey shape, no major dents, scrapes or issues, frame is spotless, so is the brake lines and oil pan. Truck is super sharp looking, interior is just as nice, no rips or tears, non smoker with no stains or smells. All power toys working with cold air and hot heat. Mechanically she is a dream. The 5.9 fires right up no problems, new bosche injectors a few months ago, good hot batteries, no blow by no drips, fresh filters and fluids. I also installed 4 brand new 10 ply LT radials, track bar, shocks and alignment. Drives perfectly straight, good ball joints, exhaust, brakes, rotors so she is ready to tow.
