The pictures were taken on a windy day in SoCal. What you see is a little surface dust. The paint is amazing. OK Folks. If you are looking at this ad, you know what you are doing. Dodge made Viper trucks for 3 years. 1st year was 2004 with single cabs that only came with manual transmissions. In 2005 and 2006 they realized that people may want more room, carry kids or grand kids, and might not want to be shifting a 6 speed manual transmission all over town. Every Quad Cab SRT 10 is an Automatic Trans. Many of the single cabs find themselves on the quarter mile race strip because they are owned by VIPER enthusiasts that are all about the speed. I have to admit I am not that cool...I am an enthusiast that just babies his stuff but every now and then I do remind myself what is under the hood. If you are truly shopping for an SRT-10 truck, this one can't be beat. The mileage is very low and I am only the 2nd owner. I bought it from a retired LAPD Captain that bought it new when he was about 65 years old. I bought it about a year ago and now I need a truck that is not so nice. I have some construction work ahead of me and this truck is way too nice to be hauling construction stuff around. The truck has never been one of those "raced" trucks, although it has a few nice upgrades to goose its torque and HP a bit. It has a re-written software program from a well known Viper software enthusiast. It has a Volant cold air intake system and a Gibson exhaust system. She is probably at least 550 in the torque ratings and will roast a second gear chirp when you hammer it. But again, I have only done that once or twice. Now the condition of the truck is almost unbelievable. When I bought the truck, the clear coat on the front fender was starting to show its age... also on the A pillar. Normal stuff for these Dodge trucks at 10 plus years old. I had a decision to make either fixing JUST the affected areas and then keep chasing the next clear coat section over time, or just man up and have the entire truck PROPERLY painted 100%. I chose the latter as this truck demands that level of work. It was done with the latest PPG base coat and glamour clear coat materials. The Bed was removed and everything done 100% right. I had them skim coat the stock imperfections and vastly improve the finish over the "normal" level of factory sheet metal straightness. It was also color sanded beautifully and has no orange peel. It is truly stunning to see in person. Take a look at the $7500 bill I paid to have it done right. Improvements on the truck include REAL high intensity discharge headlamps. Not the cheap stuff you find out there today. They have been "smoked", or tinted, to make them look better with the awesome paint. The taillights and 3rd brake lamp have also been smoked. Inside the truck, the small stock radio head unit has been upgraded to a large screen Garmin Navigation, Bluetooth, Sirius XM Satellite system. Speakers have been upgraded but no boom box. Just factory size upgraded stuff. The rear seat passengers can enjoy a DVD system folding down from the overhead console. It can take DVDs, Jump drives and other USB inputs. It can be controlled with the wireless remote. The front seats have remote controlled comfort massagers and heat elements built into them. They are pretty cool. The truck has been slightly lowered so it does not have the huge gaps between the fenders and the wheels. It has only been lowered enough to "even out" the gaps, not slammed by any means. But, this Viper truck can also tow. It is rated for over 7000 pounds, but many SRT owners have hauled 10000 pounds. If you know what you are doing, you understand what I mean. The rear of this truck has been fitted with Firestone air springs. This helps when you are towing something. It has an on-board compressor and has complete control from the drivers seat, with a gauge and buttons to inflate and deflate without leaving the drivers seat. So the truck looks and rides right when not towing, and then you can accommodate a heavier tongue weight when needed thanks to the helper airbags. The stereo system also has a built in reverse camera that automatically engages on the nav screen when she is dropped into reverse. Another plus for towing or just maneuvering around a parking lot. Lastly for towing, there is an electric brake controller also on board for those rare occasions. The front windows are tinted to match the factory rear windows. The steering wheel has been professionally wrapped in a higher end leather stitched unit that makes the wheel feel incredible. The factory fiberglass tonneau bed cover with the stock wing is also controlled by an electronic switch from in the cab. You do not need to try and work the small key under the spoiler to open it up. Inside the bed, there is a factory bedliner, a factory rubber mat, a custom car (truck) cover and a bed load extender for those occasions. Under the rear seat, you will find the factory load leveling rack that makes for carrying small loads. Rubber cargo style Viper mats on the rear floor. You can find cheaper SRT trucks, but not with fresh high end paint and other added options. Finding a nice 2 owner 57K SRT truck would be difficult in the low 20's. Maybe even 25K. Add the paintwork and other options and you are starting to see that this is a good deal for a great truck. PLUS, you don't have to wait the 2 months I waited for the paint to be done.

1998 dodge ram 1500 4x4 Sport Package, 5.2L, Black, Quad Cab, 160K approx. Miles. Not running. Pretty sure at least 3 of the 4 tires are bad and flat. Hasn’t been started in over 5 yrs. Has been in outside storage since May of this year. Prior to that it was stored in a garage since 2005. Probably nothing catastrophic with the engine as there was no engine problems prior to it sitting for years. The battery died and I hadn’t paid the registration so I didn’t drive it. Interior is all in good shape. Normal wear and tear on the outside, never in any accidents. Front window is cracked, not really bad, buy one long consistent crack. No spider webbing. Clean Title. No missing parts. There is back registration owed to the tune of 1700 dollars. I don’t have the pink slip because it was written off in a Bankruptcy and the company that bought the debt from Wells Fargo wouldn’t come pick it up because it didn’t run and would have to be towed. After several years of asking I finally got them to send me a letter of release. I don’t have any pics as I moved and am not able to get to the storage yard.
