This garage-kept 280ZX 2-seater is in excellent condition. The car was repainted in 1995. Headliner was replaced in 1996. The brake rotors, pads, calipers, some flexible hoses, and master cylinder have been replaced with new or rebuilt Nissan parts. The clutch master and slave cylinders, flexible line, pressure plate and disc set are new and the flywheel has been ground. Included are the original window sticker, owner's manual, Haynes service manual, and the original T-Top slip covers. Everything works, except the tape player and the rear hatch shocks.

1981 Datsun 280zx, Nissan, , Custom fiberglass body kit, great condition, 5 speed manual transmission, car was originally from Texas( have Texas sticker still on windshield ) to explain the lack of rust, Can was painted pearl white, probably when the body kit was installed and has held up really well and still shines nicely The car runs and drives well, the brakes are excellent, clutch is good and shifts into all gears properly, the wheels are American Racing with tires with 50% tread left, all lights work and the radio is newer with USB and aux inputs, it has a custom speaker box in the back of the hatch, The previous owner installed new black carpet throughout. The exhaust is a sport muffler, a little loud, but not too loud, the rest of the car is stock and not modified The car has factory air but it does not work The seats and headliner have been recovered in the same material. The car is 95% complete but still missing some small parts that I have not yet found on Ebay including: sunvisors, passsenger arm rest, external chrome windshield trim, and probably a few small things I have forgotten. The only other issues are that the brake light stays on( I think it may be a emergency brake sensor) and the front suspension squeaks over certain bumps( I will include new uninstalled front struts with purchase) headlight bezel has a small crack( pictured) . Dash has a small crack in the middle, new dash pad I would drive this car anywhere, there are no leaks, it does not burn any oil and runs like a top, looks like the previous owner replaced the alternator recently. All lights and heater controls work. It does have some small spots where the paint is bubbling up( I tried to picture and a small dent on the right front fender( pictured). 1975 Datsun 280z FULL DISCLOSURE LISTING - it's important to know exactly what you're getting. Rare year - first with EFI, bringing back performance to balance out added weight from changing regulations. Not a show car, this car is a hobby restoration, so true enthusiasts or a close inspection WILL find flaws. However, it is a beautiful specimen and has been restored to be what it is supposed to be: A true driver's car. Not the fastest on the road, but a real head turner with enough power to put your head back when you want it to. Tons of fun, nice and low slung, great handling, and with awesome styling. Throttle is very responsive, and the twice pipes give it a nice, deep rumble. Close inspection will show flaws in the clear coat, such as some "orange peel" (see pics) and a couple of buff marks (less than an inch long). More buffing might be in order, or even a second clear coat could make it a complete mirror shine. It needs a flasher unit - everything else works perfectly. There seems to be a loose wire connection in the interlock circuit somewhere under the driver seat - the interlock unit sometimes seems confused, but it does not affect performance. The rear brake cylinders either need replacement or adjustment because the e-brake will not catch (currently putting it in gear to park on an incline). There is a dash cap as well, there has been some metal work done on the driver's side frame rail and the floor pans, and the rear defogger does not seem to be carrying the current (though the connectors are not the tightest either). Finally, there is a dime-sized piece broken out of the tray part of the center console (under the grey carpet sample in the pic). This is about the sum total of flaws (the fluid in the pictures is A/C condensation, not oil). Here are the perks and what has been redone: Replaced fusible links with breakers (for storage and circuit protection), new BF Goodrich tires all around (215/60) on turbine rims, new carpet, original spare, wheel chocks, and jack equipment, cold A/C, MSA twice pipes, new front wheel bearings, new urethane mustache bar bushings, new MOOG sway bar links - front and rear, new timing chain guides, new spark plugs and wires, new fuel hoses on the intake, K&N air filter, new injector connectors, new fuel filter, sony sound system with pandora, bluetooth hands free calling, front usb ipod/mp3 charging, original shift knob (green coin), flawless headliner, matching numbers, new rear hatch seal, blacked out bumpers, ALL BUMPER RUBBER INTACT (this one was a huge pain!), original oil pan splash guard (repainted), re-primed and repainted upper and lower grilles (stainless screws because those are notorious for rusting and breaking), trim repaint on all trim but the plate frame and light to even out color tones (same color for the blinker bezels, grilles, bumpers and tail light panels), ALL lights work, any and all underside rust was removed, repaired, and recoated with rubberized coating, ALL body rust has been removed, repaired, primed, and painted (rocker panels were completely removed and replaced with galvanized), original owner's manual, vintage chilton manual, and paint code is included, new vinyl on the rear shock towers and interior wheel wells, original vinyl on the deck riser, original storage liners (riser and liners have the diamond pattern), new slotted and drilled rotors and pads on the front, new rubber gas fill flap, new lug nuts, new MSA wheel center caps with Z logo, the previous owner claimed he replaced the slave cylinder, and more than likely one or two things I've missed...The result - a hot little roadster on the street and in the garage!Please don't hesitate to ask any questions and be sure to see other items for extra parts from the 74.5-76 years.
