The body has lights dents on the driver door/fender area, right quarter and light bump on the roof behind the sunroof. The sunroof glass, windshield, driver door and right rear passenger door glass are broken. There is no structural damage to the sunroof and the dent is behind the sunroof so it should be easily repairable. The dash has no damage due to the caved in windshield (see interior pics below). No suspension damage observed. No mechanical damage observed. All airbags are good. Has great looking tires. No warning lights on the dash. The great news is that the car starts, engine runs great, goes into gear and we are able to drive it around within our lot. Overall should be a easy fixer with light body work to fix the body dents and no major parts needed besides the broken glass. Insurance companies usually salvage vehicles due to collision, theft, flood..etc. but this doesn't mean that they are beyond repair. In most cases its not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company. Or the owner might not want the vehicle after going through an accident even if the damages are light and easily repairable such as our cars. Whatever the case is these cars can easily be returned to the streets and that is why they're sold through auctions as repairable vehicles. We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) in our possession and it will be re-assigned to the new owner to follow up with their state salvage process. Every state has its own salvage process and its usually filling out some forms and taking the car to an inspection after repairs (if any repairs are needed).
