I repainted it to it's original maroon color and had new body side molding installed after the paint job was complete. I had a new vinyl top installed. Bought new emblems and opera window trim for the new top and new tail light emblems. Rebuilt the carburetor. Had the air conditioning system rebuilt with a new compressor installed to todays standards. Had new duel exhaust installed. Bought new rally trim rings. Replaced the transmission gasket and filter. Had new transmission mounts replaced and new tires installed.The previous owner had a new radiator, shocks, and wheel bearings installed in 2005. I bought the car from the original owners son in Las Vegas. His dad bought it new on 6/22/76 at Pollard-Wittman-Robb Chevrolet in Van Nuys, CA.I have the original build sheet and some other papers from when it was bought new. I've kept the car garaged and covered as long as I have owned it. It has 82,000 original miles. The car runs and looks great. I always keep the fuel tank full with fuel stabilizer so no rust forms in the tank. I take it out a least once a month to get the engine hot and get all the fluids moving around.
