I have a 1987 Monte SS for sale. I took this car on trade for a old Firebird Street Strip car that I had. I'm more into F Body cars so I probably wouldn't get a lot of use out of this so I'm listing for sale. I've sold a few cars on here, and I try to be as honest as I can. This is a 30 year old car so bear with me. The car is a 1987 Monte SS its I guess about as original as you can find one. Has 32,000 miles, has had no modifications done to it. Actually I don't believe its even had a tune up done. Doesn't leak, knock, smoke, or tick. It runs, drives, shifts, starts and stops as you would expect a 1987 Monte SS with 32,000 miles would. Tires all have good tread, they look as if there the original tires. Wheels are all very nice with no curb checks or anything. Has had some driver quality paint work done sometime in its life. Its nice but not perfect. In a nutshell its a low mileage, nice, clean, good running, and driving 87 Monte SS that hadn't been modified in any way. Only issue I could really find is the AC doesn't blow cold, Nothings been tampered with, just probably needs a recharge. The car does drive very well on the highway but the tires are 30 years old, so I wouldn't recommend any long trips until new tires are put on. It could use a tune up, I mean the car runs fine but it does have 30 year old plugs and wires and such. Will come with a complete tune up kit AC Delco: plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and oil filter Purolator: air cleaner, and pcv valve. Car will not leave my possession until payment has completely cleared my bank. Title does have an odometer discrepancy for mileage, I was told the car was purchased out of an estate and someone check the wrong box on title, so it ended up with a mileage stamp. Listing should have an autocheck with the listing and it should reflect such. Ive owned a lot of old "muscle cars"and I have to say this is a 32,000 car....... All the door weather-stripping is new and fits excellent-New cat whisker's at top of door- New Step Sills-The Vinyl top is new and has superb fit. The wheels and center caps are "not" reproductions-Tires are proper Firestone Super Sports Redlines bias ply-Car has been properly aligned. The trunk compartment has all the proper finishes-mat-spare tire cover-Rally I wheel on Firestone Super Sports tire- Correct jack- Jack Instructions on Trunk Lid- Paint- Weather-stripping- Wiring- everything is correct and the way it left the factory (Only Nicer) The Motor Compartment is as original with all the correct finishes-tags-colors. Everything has been gone thru-Motor is 400/335 HP YS Code with correct accessories including Heads-Exhaust manifolds-Intake-4 barrel Carburetor-Distributor-Alternator and Radiator. Complete rebuild and refinishing of the entire Drivetrain including transmission & rear-end. Original style Exhaust pipes, Mufflers & Hanger's, no resonators give it a nice exhaust rumble. All the wiring has been replaced thru out the entire car. Undercarriage has to be seen- all correct Finishes- Correct Hardware-Tags-Paint dabs-Original & clean floors & trunk-Frame is very clean and has proper finish-No sign of any body damage or panel replacement on this GTO. Everything has been refinished or replaced where it made sense-proper fuel & brake lines- Emergency brake cables U-joints-Tie rods-ball joints- brakes-Spiral Shocks-New Fuel tank with correct stamp. Many consider the 1967 GTO to be the pinnacle of GTO production. This is truly an investment Grade car. There were no short cuts taken during it's restoration process.All Awards go with Car. Have Owner's Manual & Warranty Booklet with POP- The POP is not original to this car. Have PHS Documents-Copy's of Window Sticker (One laminated for window) Everything works on this car- It has less than 100 miles since restoration- gets trailered to shows-kept in pampered climate controlled garage.
